Purina Pro Plan Bright Mind

I've bee watching adds, reading articles and reports about how it helps older dogs (7+) become sharper, more active and get around better.
My question is should I have a bowl of it in the morning w/ skim or almond milk???

Really though - what's your take on this --- breakthrough or hype to sell more food?

 

They are just adding MCT oils is all its nothing new. You can just buy MCTs separate and use them as a supplement to your own brand of kibble.

 

Old Dog I don't know about the bright minds but I have fed.pro plan and loved it.My dogs looked amazing on it.What I didn't like was the price.

We have used Pro Plan for years. I get it at Pet Smart or Pet Sense. It always is on sale at either one. The sale price ranges from $29.99 - $37.99 for 35pds

Lol What I tell clients at work. Everyone and their mama will have an opinion on food.

My dogs are healthy. And look good. So one's "garbage" is another one's treasure. Lol

And to answer the original question. Purina does do feeding trials and controlled studies to back their claims.

So let's hear your reasons that it is garbage. And don't give me the corn and filler BS. Give me scientifics. Controlled studies to back up your claims. No opinions.

Never mind the controlled studies to actually see if what they claim is true. Unlike many foods out there. Just like Blue just admitted to lying about their food and what is in it but only after a lawsuit brought on by Purina.

There are AAFCO requirements that all food has to meet. However only a handful actually do the trials.

Human Grade is a marketing tool. Organic is a lie unless the USDA seal is on the bag. I can go on. The pet industry is a multi billion dollar business that is poorly regulated. Which is why there are so many dpfeeds out there making all these claims. But no data to back it up.
