Full Lab? Lab mix? sigh...

After owning this type of dog for 20 years I always hear similar comments from people. It used to annoy me, but now it sort of strikes me funny. Very rarely do I run across someone who does not think my dog is either a lab mix, or a boxer mix, or sharpei mix. Sometimes even a pure lab! Lolz. Just the other day a fella tells me, oh... Pure lab good looking dog. I just thanked him and went on.
Especially here out west where there are a lot of 90 pound blue colored tubalards.
I would like to know what others have said, and what you tell folks. I just keep my mouth shut and smile these days.

For the most part in my area 95% of folks wouldn't know a game dog if it bit them in the ass. American Bullies and Am Staffs are what most think are pitbulls. I always get asked are mine pups because they are not 70 plus lbs. Had one fella with the biggest Bully I have ever seem with a spiked collar ask what breed of pup my dog (one in my avatar 40lbs) was...I just told him A German Hunting Beagle.

 

Yea AZ is one of the best places for these dogs, just stay out of the pit bull store and you'll be alright LOL

My chocolate bitch has been called a lab many times. Many times I tell people my dogs are pitbulls they say oh like they don't believe me lol I don't mind. German Hunting Beagle I may have to use that!

 

I generally lie to people if they ask what kind of dog I have, lol.

 

lol...my house ''petbull'' is a 3/4 Colby-1/2 Watchdog female (49lbs) with bat ears and just beautiful to look at...you can imagine what I get asked lol...even got asked was she a really big Chihuahua...wtf
