When I first seen the thread I thought an Eagle or Red Tail Hawk. Having natives in my family I've always enjoyed nature and especially birds. The Eagle for a lot of the reasons Mccoy mentioned, as well as the points so eloquently worded the Amigo T. Lol

But, under the zodiacs I'm a Lion & a Horse, so I guess I'd be poundin the ground.....lol

As for myself, for dogs, I'll choose the mountain dog/livestock guardian, the Great Pyrenees.

As a sheepdog, it is a protector of livestock, and will fight to the death to do its job.
They are working dogs, but more important, independent minded, often working alone, which fits me perfectly.

For the Chinese horoscope, I am the Tiger, and it is a fairly accurate portrayal of me as well.
