Fat rolls

I will first like to admit that I understand I might be posting tho in the wrong place. I am very much a newbie, here we go. My amstaff mutt here has that annoying neck fat roll shit going on. She is eight months an ha some growing to do , I that it? I do run her a lot (obviously not enough) . Am I bitching for nothing? I want her to look like fit she's not as lazy as she looks she treks the fuccing woods like a dog in an RPG video game and if I let her shell dog for gofers and chase squirrels til her paws bleed and she does if starvation.

 

Thanks for the good read. Pity they didn't know about break sticks back then. There were some dogs from the Black country at the Gem fields in QLD. An English couple had brought them out many years ago. They just kept them as pets and bred a few generations. They were taller than average SBT and light on their feet. My brother told me they no longer have them which is a pity. Knew a fellow in Sydney back in the 70's had a lithe little staff he brought out from the mid lands in England. She was blind and had worn her teeth down when I saw her and was about 8 years old. Other dogs would sometimes have a go at her. Instinctively as soon as she had a hold on them she would go to town even though she had no teeth. I was amazed at her dexterity for an 8 year old dog. Dog shows started favouring the big blocky tanks in the 1980's. There is a big difference between the show dogs of today and the SBT from many years ago

If shes only 8 months old shes still developing and growing. I suggest not workin her to much till shes a year old when her joints bones and muscles are closer to being developed enough. That said try feeding a little less and walk her more she will come around good luck good lookin dog.

 

im with Kalen, 8 months old is still growing up, if you do too much it might cause problems and might not be possible to recover, for now the most important is mindset, doing activities that the dog might enjoy and gradually (with time) raise the length of the activities.
i might be wrong but i get serious after 16 month at least, before that is just fun work, i do that to prevent injuries in young dogs in order to push them harder as adults
