My memories of playing with my dogs of my past - I could really rough house
    them .
Grab a leg they plop on the floor grab there face cheeks , They start running in circles I catch emm , good hearty fun .
Naturally I never hurt them but the limits were high . I could wrestle them just like a dog and I NEVER had a worry .

My current male comes off very safe around all family members , typical play toss a ball or dog toy hes loving it wrestling play yes
but some times HMM . I can't do the same as my dogs of my past .
I can rough house but , I don't feel the same comfort level of my other dogs

Conventional ownership - walks - ball - running - just mature hanging - the best dog
He might just be a hard playing dog that I am not familiarize to . He gets a scary look and I wont push to what I could do in the past with others

Should I work on this or leave be.

I play with my dogs all my life the same way and enjoy a good wrestler. Id be careful as some arent as summisive as others and might nip or bite you. Indian Sonny was said to do more schooling, wrestling with his dogs than actual dogs and he was asked how he never got bit?his answer was he watched for "THAT LOOK".
Another piece of sound advice i remember is theres three types of dogs .Summisive not summisive and inbetween
summisive wont bite you, non will and inbetween might...

i was just wondering if people play with their puppies with their hands and let em bite when they are young. But yea i know which dog and for how long to wrestle.

I NEVER ALLOW ANY DOG to mouth or bite me as it cant lead to any thing good.
With a puppy and dogs ive raised I simply say loud"no" and I put my wrist in thier mouth and apply pressure and saying "ouch!" with dissapointment.
I then put the dogs wrist in thier mouth and apply pressure and say "ouch" again the same way in hopes they understand the pain they can inflict is not acceptable.
Next I put rope (or any thing theyll chew on) inbetween us and lots of praise.
Sounds stupid but the pups and adults that ive raised with this technique have had good results.Alot of dogs are in tune with human emmotion naturally, but jump starting pups can never hurt.
I NEVER WOULD RECOMMEND PUTTING YOUR ARM IN A DOGS MOUTH THAT HAS THAT
    "FUNNY LOOK" IN THIER EYES!
Id LOL but it only invites the dogs,LAUGH INSIDE cause you dont hear me.....

Last time i've wrestled with any dog was when i was 13 years old lol. However i still enjoy when i arrive at home drunk after party with friends and we play dumb stuff with him like dancing, throwing him in the air and catching... his face sometimes its like WTF? but when you stop he comes for more acting like a clown, then i fell asleep in the coach with a beer in my hand and when i wake up hes next to me with that face: Party hard huh?

HAHA, thats your best friend right there.

I'd say in between submissive Yes .
But not sure if it just boils down to that .
Submissiveness I feel should always be a part of the dog and owner . Some dogs seem to naturally have it towards the owner , Some dogs I could play hard , were not submissive with other dogs.
Dogs are individuals . I will continue to play and keep a look out for the Look . I believe if I play more he will mellow a bit. I can play , he has normal limits .But grab his cheek with right hand grab a leg to topple him down and see the classic Pit smile.
Not yet & maybe never .
