Its a copy and paste job. From bible verses.com. i just wanted to make the point that the old test is before christ and the new test is the birth of christ forward.

Constantine, Rome, the meeting at Nicea, the Flavians(and the list goes on)-these are not theories(many wish they were)they are facts, and the Conspiracy has been going on for a long time. The bible(in the form we know) is a book written by men to control men, nothing more nothing less, and as far as we are concerned in this day and age that is all it ever has been.

If I had to sum up the Old Testament in one sentence or less it would be..Man's introduction to the nature of God.

However old goat, he did say to spread his word with others, to come together as a group and worship ( church )

This topic could get very deep as NO ONE can disprove any of it nor can they prove it. That is why it is called faith and not science ...;)

LOL church should be down by the river it sure was fun .

We are sinners by nature. Just look what the catholics do to children. Many people talk the talk and don't walk the walk. In all religions. People take a good thing and twist it for their own self serving reasons. I do it all the time myself with Genesis 3:16......
Point is, everyone is a sinner. Church doesnt necessarily have to be in a gold pillared building adorn with stained glass, it could just as easily be in someones basement. The point is to congregate with others to worship, where you do that at I have always felt was irrelevant.

I understand what you are saying, and I personally do not care for the "church scene" myself either. I don't really click with many people, I guess it is because I think most people have a personal agenda.
And whether it is true or not, I know that is not the right way to look at people. I was involved heavy in the church as a younger man, and I believe I knew the bible as well as many pastors, and I have witnessed incredible good, and extreme foolishness in the church. but AGK is correct.
If you believe the bible is the word of god, the bible does admonish Christians to gather and worship together. Christ told them to lift up, and support one another both physically, and spiritually in a congregational type setting. Now I may be a hypocrite for stating this because I have not been a steady church goer in over 20 years, but "Saul of Tarsus" (Paul) wrote most of the new testament to the different church's instructing, and admonishing them to stay together and "stay the coarse" if you will, and to spread the gospel. That being said, that only applies for the Christian faith

Everyone is going to have a different outlook on Church, God, Christianity.
Read the bible, get online and look up events that have and are happening in our world and you might just be amazed at what you find out.
It all depends on you as a person which route you take in life.
I remember this from my pastor, there was a man who stood on a concrete wall.
On one side was Jesus with his followers and the other was Satan.
Jesus said, " come with us and live in the kingdom my father has built for you."
The man looked at him and said, "I don't know if you are true to your word, I've prayed but nothing happens." "How do I know I can trust you?"
The man looked the other way at Satan who stood there in white clothes glistening and didn't look evil or hateful like he was made out to be. The Man said, "what about you? I know it says not to trust you so I'm not going with you."
Satan smiled and stood there not saying a word.
He looked back at Jesus and said, "I think I'll just stay right here. This is the safest place for me."
    Jesus walked away and disappeared.
Satan walked up to the man and says, "come on!"
The man says, "I'm not going with you, I'm going to stay right here on the fence."
Satan looks at the man and said, "I own the fence as well."
I choose not to be that man who rides the fence.

How do you think that? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I don't know of to many people who could take a beating like he did and not beg for mercy or change their mind.

The Old Testament was nt just history or about the Jews, but a book like Daniel very accurately prophesied about the last days.
If I find the time I will give you a portion where Daniel describes exactly when Jesus would start his ministry. I will also refer to Talmudic Law what people are not supposed to research and why and the reason a curse is spoken ove those who will research it as the truth... If and when I find the time...

I was talking about you saying praying in church is something Jesus preached against.

I'll need a scripture reference for Matthew. I have plenty of Bibles here, but ''8 pages in'' will give a different chapter and verse in each of them.

To understand the Bible, people need to be able to separate what is history, allegory, poetry, visions of prophecy, symbolism, and parables. Revelations was written with symbolism.
