i had a kc bitch years ago that was brought up with a spaniel. the spaniel was used for rough shooting. i swear that Stafford thought she was a gun dog. would hunt cover as good as anything Ive seen and would retrieve shot pheasants no problem.
i also had a female Stafford as a house dog. kc as well that would hunt all day if i let her and loved to push fox out of cover.
they were not bred on anything special. just run of the mill kc Stafford's but loved to work.
i think you could go to the dog pound and get one. if you bring it on correctly would probably turn out fine.

I had a staffordshire bull terrier 1 time he was an AKC dog. short bullfrog dog could not walk a half a mile and be out of air so i was looking for a different line something with longer legs athletic looking dogs kennels.HEY AKC DOGS ARE BULLSHIT PS HE WAS A GOOD PET.

so you had one that was not good, so it means all are no good?

your looking for sportive dogs, hunting dogs or dogs that perform on the square?

The AKC shows that I've seen are short legged show dogs. And yes, they cannot perform in a box.

i have one that can run and pull but i don't expect a show dog to be competitive in the box, i guess it would be asking too much..
i had amstaffs on hogs that would not hit other dog's still they could stay hang on hog's as long it would be needed..and i though they be useless shit before getting them on hog's

there are some people using staffords (non kc) in the box, some folk's speak about it here in this site, usually i don't drop names but im shure you can find it

    take care

that's what i'm talking about. we used to go to hog rally's around here to it was a competiton. staff we had would catch hogs too. NOW it's illegal to do that now.

Like pits most sbt's can be used as good catch dogs if they have enough prey drive and stamina.
Here is a show dog taking down a wild boar 3 times his size alone.

if you guys study the history of the breed staffordshires and apbt come from the same dogs. i wouldnt be suprised to find a staff that carry a game trait from dogs long ago. it might not happen often but it can happen.
