Too small to be an APBT?

I know yall must get a million of these... But first, I just want to say that I know there's no way to absolutely know for sure without papers and all that, I am just wanting some best guesses and opinions from actual APBT owners.

Back in mid-January I got an 8 week old puppy, runt of the litter. I was told he was an APBT, but I'm not so sure. Whenever we go for walks, other Pitbull owners always comment, "Your Pit is so cute!" etc etc and seem to know right away. Every Pit owner I've ever encountered tells me they think he's full-blooded, just small because he was the runt. But other average dog owners, they think he's Pitbull/Boxer mix. Someone even said Boxer/Lab. They said his head is too small to be a Pit, or at least full blooded. The only time it doesn't look small is when he's panting and you can see that huge smile... his jaws and skull feel very thick and solid. I've seen a lot of forum threads about small headed dogs and was wondering if it could possibly be the case with my puppy... Either way I don't care, we're not showing, I still love him all the same [IMG] Just curious. Right now he's about 4 1/2 months old... he's got a very smooth, super short coat. His name is Atticus.

That's because most Average dog owners don't know shit about their dogs let alone apbts.

LMAO, I love how most people when they see a real deal apbt and believes them to be a pit/lab or some other breed. There's no way to tell, ZoSo, if your dog is truly a purebred without knowing the pedigree...and I mean actual pedigree, not a piece of paper. However, I'm confident that he is most likely not a lab, shepherd, or boxer mix because if he was, you'd probably not be asking if he is "too small." All three of these breeds are taller and heavier than an apbt, and a mix of any of these three with an apbt would result in a larger dog than a purebred apbt as well.

Never ask is your dog is too small to be a APBT, when he's full grown, ask if he's too big to be a APBT, either way, good looking pup.
