My dogs live in the garage cause of the cold winter weather. I have two pits and I usually keep them seperate and let one out of the kennel and one in the kennel and switch it up so they both get exercize running around in the garage (I got a rather large one).

While they are in the kennel they tend to bark and refuse to use the bathroom in there. When they are out in the garage they will pee and poop.

About a hour ago I let them both outside after being gone for a couple hours and let them use the bathroom then let em in. I started cleaning up the garage and went inside to use the bathroom myself then came right back out and bam a big pile of poo on garage floor.

They do this when I'm out of sight.. Seems like a game thats being practiced more and more as time goes on.. I would just like a couple tips on training. I would like them to act as they would if I was infront of them.. Also I would like them to act as they would if in the kennel.

I'm usually scratching my head on what to do.. I decided to put my chair and computer out here to watch them and correct the issue if I see it.. ITs been about 45 mins now and they have been in the kennel the whole time Ive been out here and the door is wide open! they are now sleeping like babys so I doubt I will catch them in action.

I am a beginner in dog training so thanks for any info.

you need to clean that garage floor. My experience is they will continue to crap where they are use to and where they can smell it. Is it a concrete floor? If so use some ammonia

You HAVE to get them out and about! That's the secret. Show them where it's acceptable to use the bathroom.

The spaces are too confined....let them venture out in different areas...

yeah most dogs wont shit to close to where they sleep. They keep pooping when u out of sight because u didnt train them not to poop there u just made them think its not cool for u to see.Dont be to firm when potty training cause scarring/punishing aint training. You have to walk them.Ive never tried to train a dog to shit anywhere in my home so I cant say really how to do it cause it seems unnatural to me.Why dont u walk them?Wanting them to shit in a crate(I guess so it will be easier to clean)and saying they get good exorcise running around a garage just sounds lazy to me.Get ya lazy ass up and walk em.I saw that u said u let them outside but thats not enough for a high energy dog.IMO walking is the base of all training.

  6. The best way to trained your puppy's to get up early in the morning and hold them with strip or chain and go for a walk you follow this for one or two weeks your puppy was trained. And he/she goes daily for shit out of the home loan...
