Patterdale/APBT cross pictures

I've been hunting and breeding APBTs for hunting and ranchwork from game stock since 00' before that I grew up in wolf rescue and still had wolves then at 21. Canine genetics is just something I understand. Most people forget DNA and mtdna goes back thousands of years, and all dogs are just a sub species of canis lupis (wolf). I look for the old world long legged bulldog. Now I have it and know how to get it even with two different dogs I've never bred just studied pedigree and done the math... it added up. Heres my scatterbred bulldog (APBT) the whole litter is 30lbers, I knew I didnt need to outcross to bring the apbt down in size, just like I didnt need the outcross for the original bulldog, we all know 28-35lbsers exist(ed) and so..... @ 17lbs feels like 29lbs weighed just under 18lbs and 8months old, top out at 27lbs roughly

Please help me with knowledge then please direct me towards what line of patterdales that are bred from true fell or patterdale blood that use bull blood as the base. Because not one single book I have read or one true patterdale man I have ever spoke to that will say the statement of bull blood being the base!?!?!?!? Please direct me to that line. The patterdale or fell terrier blood was from small terriers that hunted not the opposite. It is more likely the small terriers of european blood was the base of bull blood. Yes I am a ass hat when I read something so crazy. Please feel free to correct my statement and as a man of integrity I will be glad to eat my words if I am wrong! Yes we hunt multiple dogs but you will never send in multiple dogs on the same set but we use the dogs in multiples to give ourselves better chances of locating more game. We are not some barn hunters, we hunt traditional way in the ground! Most times when he hunt we can cover 300-600 acres easily in a 8 hour plus day of hunting. This isn't some weak form of hunting, we hunt to live and live to hunt. I am under estimating by saying I have taken at least 30 coons, 40 plus oppossums and 20 groundhogs this past year. My dogs are sunday hunters only because I work 60 plus hours a week and I have a family. If I didn't we would break the hundred mark on all game easily if I could hunt more. I am not some internet dog man pretending to hunt, I can back my statement from other terriermen who seen me and my dogs hunt this hard from coast to coast and from top to bottom!

 

If you are using crosses or whatever that is fine but don't tell people that is the base of fell or patterdale blood cause isn't FATCITY. I can not only be verified for my pattys and my crosses but I can be verified for honesty in my bulldogs when I owned them. If you thought I was just some internet dogger, you thought wrong. I am not pissed or worked but when I read a statement so crazy I can't help it but I see the same thing happening to patterdales as to bulldogs and the exact reason why I got out of bulldogs because the type of people that are surrounding them more and more. All the gentlemen are gone.

 

Never said it was the base breed(could have worded it differently) but it was one of them that contributed to what we have now . Am I wrong ?
What does fell terrier mean?
And I am no expert by any means , but have hunted patts for about the last 7 yrs with the same pair and some of their offspring and have done pretty well.
This was never about what made them but as to why people want to add so much more bull blood to the mix when these little feckers can stand up on there own four feet !
And I never said any thing to you about you or your pack or how you or your pack hunted.and what is this run in circles stuff I don't have to be in the cool kids click to have and hunt patts these things are every where and I don't have to go coast to coast to hunt all I have to do is open my front door and go outside I live in the sticks my friend .

hunting in circles isnt about cool people lol its about the group of friends that go hunting and have a good name in terriers but keep it to them.with some outside people getting a dog now and again.that outside person gets a patterdale or as i would call (black dog) but only the circle knows what is in the dog breed wise like how much or little,bull,russel what ever is used. for example just because people visited nuttals yard and seen a few dogs doesnt mean that they know what is behind the dogs only nuttal and his circle knows what and how much of what is in the dogs same as when they get there dogs ped names dont mean shit and dont tell what the make up of each dog in that ped is.alot of people in america and other places got dogs from nuttal and there peds mean shit as i know for a fact that he had bought litters that were nothing to do with his line from dogs that were just pets and sold these for big money,why,cause he could as people buy names its a fashion statement. fatcity fell terrier meaning,is a dog that was created in the fell land or hill country a few terriers come under this name

 

?when people on this say they hunt say 6 or more dogs are these dogs all terriers at the same time if so y not use hounds? and there can be no way of saying that only one dog at a time goes to ground. if i hunted my terriers of the lead to beat out quarry and something is in the ground all terriers will be in the ground and not threw my choice thats just what would happen so why not use hounds that cant go to ground aswell is there not a chance of some of the terriers getting on the foot of seperate quarry and losing dogs

 

Yeah.. sounds like some good work.. picasso.. knock out all the coons and if your brave skunks. << LOL --{{ Most people dont know, possums eat carrion.. they look vicious but are not unless grabbed or cornered.. I used to let the dogs knock em out but I learned thats why you always see them on the road sniffing near road kill or where once was.. THey eat dead rotting animals and plants.. .. I like small dogs and I like to hunt with one or two dogs; I've bred some good small bulldogs and they go after everything and I chuckle when I read the hunting Patti stories cause its kinda similar.. Ya'll have a feisty breed and it doesnt matter as long as you know how to push out that APBT cross if you crossed it in.. I wouldnt .. but if you do place the APBT in the hear of the ped and push it out I believe you can get what you want from within the patti stock if your a ptrdle guy or APBT if your a bulldog guy without crossing breeds. All the dna is there for what you want.

 

Pocket's my last post was not geared at you I think I was little comfused as to who I was posting with. And I agree with every thing you wrote.And what you wrote now . And I must say this I love my black un's you know what's funny is I got a friend that is from the Patterdale's are what is it Cummbrea or somthing like that but any ways he runns salukis and he said he never heard of them lol you know what is funny also people get worked up by peds and stuff but I don't have any paper on mine one Iam not even sure on how he is even breed forgot to ask I was just so happy with what I got I left with two of them lol Both worked out but one got hit buy a truck they looked like a lakeland type really dences ruff coat and the son smooth coat these thing had like no chest at all built like a tube the son the smooth coated one built just like the sire just smooth but anyway I am starting to ramble . IMO I just don't see why some people want to do that cross so much other than some other type of terrier
But but like I said ( Iam no expert on patts) learning every day!!! And one thing I have learned is that if you are going to hunt these guys you got to be game too because its not easy!!! Most people are not up to these dogs and no offence to the original poster but most are just trying to make the next big thing with out even hunting the animals ! But Iam rambleing again lol

 

A nice APBT x PT Cross. I have given him to the boyfriend of my youngest daughter. He is not working and lives like a pet. Maybe I will test him on wild boar next year.

 

i hunt and i do cross my patts cause it so danm hard to find sombody that works their dogs like they should my dog work every weekend and my patt crosses work on boar and are blood trackers
