old english bulldogs

That was what I noticed about the two puppies I was working with. They seemed like if they had different bodies they would of done anything I put them up to.

 

Do you know where to get a dorset bulldog? Iv been looking but cant find any.

I cant get a AB cuz of where i live ther to big

 

The top 30lb weight puller in France is an EB, a class looking little thing in all the pics ive seen.

 

Problem is, the so called Olde English Bulldog is actually modeled after the Victorian English Bulldog of around 1900. Which was already a ruined breed from the original functional Bulldog.

Bull Baiting was banned in 1835, there are paintings and drawings from 1700-1835 which clearly depict the original bulldog looking like a Scott Type American Bulldog or even an APBT which shows that the amount of terrier blood added to the bulldog was only a small amount.

Even the modern APBT is more bulldog than terrier.

 

old english bulldogges were 100% man made they were ment 2 have this push in face and this tiet rear cuz back then they were us 4 bullbading so if it got into a fight the wrincles on there face help draw blood away from there eyes.

 

We have an engilish bulldog and a French bulldog in our club
And there problem is the very short muzzle and with that they get
A narrow wind pipe and whenwe work them with the flirt pole and leg sleeve
They only last about 2mins. This preview any good amount of exercise
It's a shame because they both have a good amount of prey drive...

There are only kennel club "english bulldogs"(british to some) and the "original" olde english bulldogge(leavitt bloodline) which is just the old english way of spelling old english bulldog... everything after that is considered just an "alternative bulldog" as in a alternative to the kennel club style of bulldog :cool:

Khanfueshus say, English Bulldog have many physical problems, one of the major problems with this breed of dog is natural birth, most cant give birth naturally and need surgery to deliver the pups hence why the price tag for this breed of dog is so high. Other consistant problems include breathing problems as well as a smaller wind pipe, hip and joint problems and so on.

OEB Olde English Bulldogge is a relatively new breed, if one can even call it a new breed of dog lol created by D.Leavitt to enhance the english bull dogs traits to make them how they were before in the old bull baiter dogs of long ago. The OEB's can breed naturally and have less breathing problems then the english bulldog.

 

We've owned at least ten of them and for the most part, everything said about them here is true. May be your favorite breed but you just can't deny their limitations and health problems. If I had a choice, there would be no EB's in my house but my wife loves and shows them so I don't have a choice. Yea, their lovable and cute. Also, completely useless.

 

Latin Bull you need to chill out. No one here has made up a single thing, everything they have mentioned are documented issues that even the fanciers and breeders of EB and OEB will admit to.

If you cannot fuck or birth pups naturally, there is a problem - you just lost the most basic tools for survival. Natural selection has come in and taken a giant CRAP on the face of the breed, something that cannot mate or whelp should not logically exist - but bleeding heart idiots continue to produce the dogs instead of find a solution that would make them free breeders, free whelpers, and free breathers. That is just selfish in my opinion.

I don't know if I would call the Olde English Bulldogges a "breed" just yet, but I would certainly call them an admirable effort to fix a really fucked up breed and if the people working the program continue to breed true and improve then maybe one day they will have a true "breed" - right now I see it as the beginnings of a breed coming together.

 

Don't give a shit about the current EB or EOB but this is interesting:
