Chuvo, interesting that you mentioned Frankie. My preferences from Garner are based more on paper than hands on and I've always preferred the no Frisco Frank and Hickson, they just never seemed as prominent plus the inbreeding was a tad excessive for my taste. I just have a feeling though that the Earl blood would work nicely with these Strickland dogs we have here.

There was a very well bred Jeep/Turtlebuster stud I know of that is a beast that I was going to breed to as well with the female iltter mate to my top dog. Things of course didn't work out as planned for me but that was the direction I was taking next.

 

Also IMO there is a much better source of Earl jr blood thought not as tight that I would go with before Frankie by the name of Jon.

 

Chuvalofan, you seem to know or have quite a bit of experience with the garner dogs.

would be interested to know what you think of his ceasar stud. I see some people don't believe he's legit, but he seems to have produced a few good dogs.

First off lets break down how he is bred.

Beside's being a P.O.R./R.O.M. and a 3 xW (not to mention his schooling which I have heard was ''intense'') he was from a very good litter which all/most were highly successful in their own rights. IMO will go down as one of Garner's all time greats as far as production.

The average online dog fancier has not seen what Cherry looks like. Well friends she is a conformation marvel and taking a look through her offspring you will see it is a trait she passes. Also take a look at the concentrated Chinaman blood in her pedigree, a powerful 68.75%. Another thing to take note of in her ped is Garner's Katie who was a conformation marvel herself from the infamous Spike/Miss Molly breeding. Hardly a surprise to find she has been one of Garner's all time producing females. The Dynomite/Cheery breeding not only produced solid show dogs but very good producers in their own right, throwing mouth in abundance.

There is a lot good/bad, true/false going around on Simba. The truth is, is that he was a freak of nature in every sense of the word and a very underrated producer. One only need to take a look in Mexico today to see the impact his blood has had in a lot of the greats today. All over North America as well his blood can be found in successful fast lane bulldogs.

I am not going to comment on his show record but will say not only was he bred to produce...he is producing. If I were to have a very tight Snooty female, this is the stub I would back her up to, just have a feeling on that one.

In closing/ IMO he is the real deal.

 

jstevens I grap the opportunity to mention something that has to do with Ceasar and the stories about him. Maybe his 5w are bs (let's assume) but the other 1w that was against a "famous" dogman that likes to talk about himself as a myth etc in the third person (I don't remember how the doctors call that...), started to talk trash about Ceaser after loosing to him!
GTO also mentions another dogman (American that lives in Mexico) that ducked him and even when they went after Vengeance, KC retired him for stud services. Just saying! Every story has two sides...

Sounds like dejavu. Beautiful gyp bred down from Garner's Rooster sent an expensive aquisition home to Texas for a guaranteed refund.

 

One thing I'll add about the evaluation of TG's stock is that there are plenty of dogs the public doesn't see and many that are placed in certain hands with no money exchanged.

The Gen public/any fool with a buck isn't soley relied on.
