Cleaning up booboo!

Anybody got any easier ways they do it??...this rake and shovel is killin me!!

Was thinking about grabbing some of those rakes out of Jeffers but wanted to see first if there was a easier way

 

We just went out and bought a long handled scoop from walmart, You squeeze the handle and the jaws open and close when You release. We walk the Yard with a 5 gl bucket and the scoop each morning and as needed. It only takes 5 minutes to clean up after 18 dogs.

 

If you feed a raw diet with bone you wont need to hardly pick up any crap maybe once a week... the poop comes out hard turns white and into ash with-in 2 days, hardly any clean up at all.

 

is that good for the dogs? gotta think the bacteria is still around

I see the crap when it turns white but I never let it stay on the ground that long to see if it turns to ash....Hmmmm interesting!!

Well if you feed nibble and it turns white, it just stay there pretty much forever. With raw it turns white faster and dissolves when it rains.

 

I say you teach them to use a toilet

I went through 3 of those in 2 years. The small plastic pieces near the scoop constantly broke on me. Now I just use 2 shovels, one a sharpshooter and the other a regular shovel. Not the funnest thing to do, but they don't tear up.

and if you live in the country, nature will almost certainly make your job easier via the butterfly. may sound crazy, but butterflies will make land mines dissapear with the quickness.

actually I dont know what its called but ours has lasted 3 yrs, My husband used to work at a custom plastic fabricater and when we bought it we knew it was a cheap brittle plastic so we keep it in the garage out of the weather and always just be gentle with it. just recently the innner plastic handle broke but crazy glue fixed it and for the conveinience the $17 was worth it. even if we buy two a yr its still worth the ease of use.

 

Agreed. I was stunned with how little crap you get when feeding raw. Also it doesn't smell anywhere near as bad as dog shit usually does. Most of the waste is excreted as urine too.
