    Kerveros, I must admit I only owned one humdinger dog and based on that one, I wont feed another. Limey I didnt get the hound with the intentions of breeding. She didnt even make it that far. That was 1000 dollars lost and charged to the game. Maybe humdinger has put better stock on the ground than his son Hummer. I wont ever find out though. Like the saying goes, you dont get a second chance to make a first impression.

    Red boy dogs have my deepest respect,they are mostly a stupid dead game dogs with no talent,they make excellent crosses, but I simply love them,yis!

    It depends on what family you get it from. The ones I've dealt with aren't stupid and have a lot of ability. And they throw it. I've heard of the Deacon animals being very good. There are some haymaker animals that are good then you have the really watered down stuff that really sucks plain and simple. The Boomer animals I've seen were not my kind of animals at all. Just didn't have the talent or smarts of a working animal to me.(Crossed and pure I've seen both) The good lines are out there you just have to find them.

    Deacon was the man!
    but what most don't get is tighter doesn't mean better. i had my hands on many of his offspring and grandkids, the good ones were VERY good and even the ones who showed little talent were LONG on heart and desire. the best performers and producers had an outcross. in many cases the tight ones were kept for brood and peddled even though they were curs and cold dogs. leave the inbred shit for the wannabees and peddlers, the good stuff down from Deacon is crossed.

    Were stupid in terms of being pets and walking on leashes, but very intelligent, almost genius performers. Had to be separated very young, like Limey's pups. About to repeat a littermate brother sister breeding we did couple years ago that threw extremely well.

    Tight works, as long as you cull responsibly. Allows you to keep blood stock, and accurately predict what certain breedings might throw. But peddling curs and cold ones, wow... I guess whoever bought them either didn't know what they were getting or thought that they'd somehow add to their breeding program. Who knows. History has shown tight curs and cold ones produce though.

    Bully is good example. his mother was off one of Deacons best breedings to Nena that procuced CH Gancho and the very game Layback. i had Bully's sister for a while, i owned the sister to his father, and i owned the sister to his grandmother. Bully was a very good dog and a good producer mostly because of his mother's breeding in my opinion. i never was impressed with any of the dogs off Blitz. if it wasn't for her pedigree (correct or not, i've been told by more than one person its not correct) she would have been a cull.
