    pit101 Big Dog

There once lived an overgrown kid near our lot,
Who owned a large mongrel, whose name I´ve forgot.
The boy was a bully, his dog was the same,
And they both used their size to play a mean game.

All the kids in the neighbourhood feared this tough nut,
As the house-dogs for blocks, feared his oversized mutt.
Toy poodles or collies or terrier small,
Made no difference, the big cur could handle them all.

The pair soon were famous, their game they played well,
For they had every dog near the tracks cut to hell.
One day a new family took the house down the street,
They owned a trim brindle dog, with white blaze and white feet.

His eyes were quite small, his muzzle looked strong,
His low carried tail was fine, pointed, not long.
He carried him self with a confident air,
On the street he´d pas dogs as if they weren´t there.

A few telltale scars on his shoulders and head,
Told a mute story, better than if it was read.
Fifty pounds of spring steel, he was quick as a cat,
And he´d fight if he had to, at a drop of a hat.

Then one day in Spring Down, by the kids hut,
The big bully came, and behind him his mutt.
The two dogs stood rigid, and to my surprise,
The yellow dog was twice the brindle dogs size.

The big dog moved in, but his jaws snapped on air,
The thing he had lunged at, well it just wasn´t there.
A clever sidestep had avoided his jump,
Something clamped on his throat, he went down with a thump.

He tried to break loose, he was fighting in fear,
His head it was pounding, couldn´t see, couldn´t hear,
His wind was cut off, he was beaten through and through,
And the big kid, astounded, felt he´d had enough too.

They got "Brindle" off, "Yellow" got to his feet,
And with tail between legs, weakly went down the street.
Now I wonder if anyone reading this screed,
Could tell me just what was the brindle dogs breed.

that nice see if ya know what kind of dog this is
He may be a large dog-maybe small
He will fight one dog or fight'em all
He will give you all that he has to give it's the only way he knows to live
He has earned the respect of poor men and kings
He has fought the wolerine, the bull, and the bear, for his own life he has not a care
He will not cower,he will not cry,for to be called a "cur" he would rather die a cur and a fighter are not the same a cur is a quitter, but a fighter is game
We dont't force him to fight, he can quit anytime, but it's not a bulldog that stands the line, when men speak bulldogs, the words that fit are those like courage, stamina, and grit
In the pit he is powerful, fierce, and wild. But at home he will sleep with the smallest child. He knows not the meaning of a word called quit.He lives on a chain, but longs for the pit
The blood of champions flows in his veins, he can stand the heat,he can stand the pain
If it comes to the scratch, he'll make the run when he hears his master cry "AWW,SON"

    "Betrayal"

Today in the pit i did meet my match,
but my legs are broken and i can't make the scratch.
Please pick me up now so i can fight another day,
but money and pride has got in the way.

You know I can't win as I let out a battle cry,
looks like this pit is where I will die.
Look into my eyes did I not give my best?
But you knew that allready when you did the game test.
This is for all the game pitbulls that never gave up,
your masters betrayed you for fear of losing a buck.

I'm gonna say the brindle dog is a dutch shepherd :p

LOL, but in all seriousness, I don't get why people need to act tough for, whether with a large dog or small. I met one of my uncle's hunting buddies with a dog that was a cross from a patterdale terrier and working line cocker spaniels that are used to flush small game from dense undergroves. He uses this dog to flush foxes and the dog also excels as an earth dog. However, he is kind of a douche at times and my uncle told me that his dog almost lost his leg because there was a loose apbt around. The dog is a 4 year old 13 lb. dog at 11 inches wither, but since the dog has gotten into a scrap with a loose 65 lb. amstaff one time and bit up the dog pretty badly while avoiding all the amstaff's bite and made the amstaff run, he thought the dog would be fine against a 39# apbt hogdog bitch. The situation was, according to my uncle from what his friend had told him, that he was walking his prized "all purpose hunting dog" in front of one of the local's fence and the apbt bitch was behind the fence. However, the bitch managed to climb the 6 feet fence and started to run at them. He noticed that the apbt bitch climbed the fence already and the bitch was about 15-20 feet away from them, but was running at them fast. My uncle said that he could've easily picked up his dog, but instead, he stepped away from his dog and while the patterdale spaniel mix did get the first bite, biting the apbt bitch on the ear and managed to avoid her jaws for a good 2 mins., once the apbt bitch got a hold of that dog's right leg, the dog started screaming in pain and his attitude suddenly changed. The apbt owner heard the commotion and the two of them broke up the fight. The bitch had minor lacerations on the right ear as well as neck, but the patterdale spaniel mix almost lost his right leg and it cost about 1,800 in vet bills.

even a shit bred pit if so willing can crunch , so to let a dog of any other breed face off with a loose pit is just stupid period

Exactly, even a curs have mouth, they just don't have game. A cur can do a shit load of damage, so why anyone would let one "handle itself" with a proven hogdog is just about the biggest douchebag move you can make.
