You can feed raw eggs. Great for their coat and is protein. Great for their muscles too.

salmon oil or fish oil i usually just buy the big bottles of the capsules they sell for humans and put 2 or 3 in there food everyday you will see a difference, extra virgin olive oil and corn oil insnt bad either

and feed a high fat food

Well first thing you should look at is their feed, A good feed should give them a good coat.

But something that always works and costs less is a little powdered milk sprinkled over the feed, Makes their coat shine like a new penny in about 2 weeks.

Flaxseed oil is good to use.

  10. Bath often. Simple but it works!

  11. I hate putting this out here because Im not positive. I know fish oil is great for there coat but the are two types, and I believe the one derived from plants is not metabolized by k-9s. Research it first please because I read this along time ago and am not sure. But if u use the wrong type ur basically just waistin cash. The stuff I give my dog is from "deep, cold water fish". Don't over due it, it can cause a greasy coat.

bathing them often will dry their coat and skin out and will make it less shiny

you dont wanna wash to much , because it takes away the dogs natural oils

  14. My pitt (raider) is black. I just give him hollistic food as well as fish oil , and he has a very shinny, healthy coat. people are always asking me what I give him. But give the good food and fish oil some time to work. Fish oil is also good for there digestion and brain function.

Actually if you wash the dog about once a month with a good oatmeal shampoo it really conditions the coat nicely.

  16. Thanks you guys really help! You bunch of studs!!;)

  17. For a nice shiny coat I found that feeding Omega's 3 and 6 are very good. For us the cheapest source of Omega's and one that is all natural is to put a tablespoon of linseeds into their food. Also linseeds are not very fattening.
Our dogs eat only 100% natural foods, no commercial or processed junk.

  18. Raw diets take way too much time for me as well as money, with a good hollistic food and fishoil diet their coats will look great. I got some pics up that show his coat but as far as muscle tone he's only around 11 months old. Ima try the raw diet eventually but very few people I know do it and even fewer do it the right way. And like they said above wash about evry month.

  19. Hey gringo, what do you mean by all natural? do you mean hollistic(natural Bag food) or do you mean Raw diet.

  20. I've literally had pitbull owners pull over while driving to ask me what I feed my dog. a "RAW" diet is the best, but if you don't have the time or money for all that. Just pick the best all natural dog food you can find. If you search this website you'll find plenty of info on dog food quality. really don't have that great of picks of him up...tryin to figure out thenew camera
