Lombard man pleads out, gets 60 days for dogfighting

<!-- Article's First Paragraph --><!-- BlogBurst ContentStart -->A Lombard man was sentenced to 60 days in jail today after pleading guilty to running a dogfight, then was ordered to avoid any unsupervised visits with his pitbull for two years.
Robert Kollman, 21, accepted the plea bargain after DuPage County prosecutors agreed to drop a more serious felony charge stemming from the May 23, 2009 dogfight Kollman helped arrange in his backyard.

<!-- BlogBurst ContentStart -->Kollman and another man, 22-year-old Brian Moll, also of Lombard, were arrested after neighbors called police to complain of the dogfight, which was so intense police had to use Tasers to separate the dogs.
Moll was sentenced last year to 18 months in prison. His pitbull, Ace, ultimately had to be euthanized because of his injuries.
Kollman’s dog, Rampage, survived the fight but DuPage County Judge Daniel Guerin ordered Kollman not to see the dog unless supervised for two years.
Guerin also ordered Kollman to make a $500 donation to the Hinsdale Humane Society

Fighting dogs in the backyard where neighbors can look out the window and see them, only get 60 days and get to keep his dog (supervised visits). I smell a rat!!!

60 days in jail dog was not euthanized, PLEA bargain, definately a narc. I mean you only get a plea when you narc someone else bigger than youself out.

 

finally some cops that have some sense when it came to breakup the fight.

 

I read this when it first happened in the paper. It was at a party and the kids thought it would be a good idea to see who's dog was badder. IDK doesn't sound like a narc to me just two STUPID A$$ kids with no common sense!:mad:
