Rock's Dog-Fighting Comments Cost Him Pryor Role?

AR nuts really are the worst. You're going to blackball (no pun intended) probably the best man for the job simply because you didn't agree with a joke he made? While your late husband was one of the most controversial comics of his day? Now what if many people kept Richard out of work because they didn't like his jokes about gays, blacks, women, etc.. Its all jokes and should be taken as such.

About the M. Vick thing, I highly doubt the man laughed while he drowned and/or electrocuted his dogs. Only Vick and those around him no the real story but I think a lot was fabricated to turn his into a monster and to let that monster be the face of pitbulls and their owners. Now when someone says pitbull the first thing people think is Vick, dog fighting, and torture.

If Vick was really the sort of person that took pleasure in torturing dogs and actually laughed out loud during the process, I think more problems would have manifested earlier in his life. That is psychotic, serial killer behavior and there would have been more signs of violence in his childhood/adolescence.

 

GOD DAMN poeple need to let this go. jokes are just that JOKES...Pryor was the man, i grew up watchin his stand up and movies, but i doubt i see the movie because i dont want to see the results of the role being handed to the 2nd best man for the job.

 

the funny part is that after Eddie Murphy walked from the RP movie they cast Wayans.....long before Rock made his comments on the Leno show

 

Why debate about Vick if Rock made the joke? The joke is the point, not Vick.
