Nice looking pup. I would have those pasterns looked at though. They look a little down to me in these pics.

I agree the look down. .but he may perk up with time. Mush Mouth and a few of his daughters were mighty flat footed until about 1 year old.

The pup looks good though! Good luck with him.

I dont know of anything you can "do." My dogs just grew out of it.

I've read that walking them in soft sand helps.

    Cute dog though :)

Cute pup. What helps is good nutrition and keeping them off of cement, but a portion of dogs who are like that are due to just genetics. Once the growth plates close they are pretty much set if it was a nutritional aspect to the problem.

I actually started walking mine (slowly and short dist) and doing some light tuging and mine straighten right up...My vet said it had alot to do with inactivity (he was in a kennel for first 3mnts) and wasnt sure if anything could be done....they look great now...

I wasn't going to say anything but since other did, yeah his pasterns aren't the best.
Some of it is genetic and I have seen it a lot out here where ppl are breeding more for just the GB pedigree instead of looking at the stock that is breeding. So it could be genetic and my RBJ was really bad as a pup. Walking on uneven surfaces like in sand or rock helped allot, and not keeping them on concrete or bare crate floors. Also nutrition can hinder the problem. A good feed is not always the highest price but putting them on a quality feed can help too. Clip his nails too;)

I have one looks just like this boy, and his pasterns were shot when I got him too. Good feed, exercise, and keeping the nails clipped has helped alot!

This is what he looked like about a year ago, and today they look fine, unfortunately can't find any recent pics of him on this laptop.
