The plan will be to give this pup lots of love and attention...do full obedience and possibly get her into Schutzund. If she turns out then maybe I will breed her down the road.

I was in Ca real estate for 22 years. I made my money in the boom from 2000 to 2005...I was dirt poor until then and have worked my ass off all my life. Teaching doesn't pay much but hard work, sacrifice, and prudent investing does. I was born in a trailer park and grew up as white trash. I admit, God has blessed me, but I am not a phony as has been implied by several people.

Jman, My tolerance for risk is very low nowadays. You are right, however, there are some very good buys out there right now.

Although the Fed Reserve has lowered rates, the problem is that banks are still scared sh**less and are wary to make loans...you need lots of cash to put down nowadays. Unfortunately, I think the CA market, even though it has hit rock bottom in many places will not improve for at least 2 more years.

I moved into some Texas real estate which, because it never had a buble in the first place is making modest growth (maybe 7-8% a year which is good, IMO) I have been busting my a** working w/ the stock market...I wish I had bought more oil...I bout a lot of Vice stuff (liquor, gambling, tobacco the idea is that even in a recession people will still smoke, drink, and gamble) but that has only broken even. One area in which I have done really well is in private equity markets. In Texas, the Mayor of the City is allowed to manage the funds that build shopping centers. However if the Dems take over (the Pres and maintain control of Congress) they are going to close the loophole that makes private equity funds so lucrative.

My take is that we are entering a period were we have to be very conservative in terms of estimating just how much money can be made...my strategy is to be cheap!
I shop at Wall Mart at least once a week.

I ran 1/4 11.92 119mph in my Evo, not bad for 25K car with 3k mods (stock turbo) hah

what 1/4 mile times are you running with those cars?

Man, old thread...my M3 is a Bavarian Hyper Sports stage 2. It is a full built motor with a T trim blower. It dynoed 644 in cold weather.

Oh, I don't 1/4 mile much. However I ran an 11 second flat on the only time I dragged my GT2 (trapped 132) under sh*tty conditions. The GT2 ran a 6,68 60-130, the M3 an 8,59 (fastest SC M3 in the world...although there are now Turboed M3's running in the 6's).

I ran a 2:02 on the road course at TWS (Texas World Speedway) which is a decent time for someone who does not have a lot of road course experience.

However I am done racing cars. Too expensive, I just put around nowadays.

 

Lol Funny you should mention racing. I have that same habit and love the dog's as well. I have female off of 6man's Daisy who is of Little John ROM to Julietta ROM. She a nice dog and her attitude is good to go!
