What Do You All Think Of This Bloodline? Would You Use It In Your Yard?

If it's the same one I'm talking about they would make good "pets".

i'm sure they're probably one in the same. the breeder we got damien from has been breeding for 15+ years. most of their dogs are champions one way or another. definitely good dogs.

I have a dog with this bloodline in his ped. I have posted the 6th gen. back in the bloodline section if anyone would like to take a look at where these dogs came from.

I spoke to a man at TMK in that same part of Texas(he has this bloodline on his yard) and he said they ran to big dogs and the line started with Johnson's El Capitan and Johnson's Ruby

Can't find much on El Capitan, but Ruby's sire was Foster's Nasty who came out of Forsythe's Smokey and Jean's Kimbrell's Rose

As you can see in the ped my dog was bred on the top with this blood with some Freeman blood mixed in.

They are reputed to be game dogs with a lot of ability. Personally I dont know, this is my first experience with this bloodline, but time will tell.

HUH. I got a APBT from a backyard breeder with ADBA papers in south Austin. When I asked him the bloodline, he said Chaingang and Gator. I wonder if my boy is related to these dogs? I can tell you that my dog is 16 months and he is a great dog so far.

Chain gang specializes in breeding blue mutts crossed with greyline crap. They breed amstaffs and try to pass them off as apbts.

I don't know what CGK breeds, but I have not heard a serious fancier say anything good about their pit bulls.

I have heard they do have some nice SBTs though.

Well my male dog is from a BYB in North Austin and guess what? Chain Gang and Gator LOL!!! ( Gator is still alive last I checked and about 13 years old ) Check my gallery because my boy turned out real well and is a great dog. He is 12 points from CH right now!! I got lucky because the BYB's that he came from had not a clue. Chain Gang dogs are mostly old Carver blood mixed in with some show and weight pull stuff. In the latter years the dogs got worse IMHO because they were fad driven breeding ie. big and blue. I dont really care for any thing that comes off that yard now and I have been there. They did have some VERY nice conf. a few years ago that were game (heard through the grape vine) and were Carver, Lar-San, Hodnetts Snow Phantom, and Klassic K-9. Then they went "large" and blue with Bettes Big head weight pull blood and some Turpin Blue Trouble thrown in there. Either way good luck with your dog and love it!!!!!! Learn your lesson though and dont support the BYB's!!!!!!! I have learned alot in the last 3 years and this board is a great resource.

LOL Austin is loaded with the best. Chaingang and Gator. LOL

I've learned my lesson already. But its funny, cause I got one hell of a dog from a BYB also. I dont think the breeder I got my dog from was trying to breed for color and size, though my dog is a blue/seal color and a fairly big boy standing at 22.5 inches tall, and weighing just under 80, the last time I checked.
I am pretty sure he wasnt breeding for gameness either, as both the mother and father were never in any real competitions. But the temperments on all the dogs were outstanding, from what I saw.

WOW... I just checked out your dog. Very nice
Kind of funny, cause from the pictures, it looks like our dogs are built about the same. Not the short and stocky type. Anyway, if you are located in or around Austin, and you wanna get the dogs together for some socializing, let me know.

Here's a pic of my dog's brother. I dont own him though.

My dog Red is almost 3 and about 21 inches and is 60 - 64lbs off season and 52-54 show cond. He is a dead throw back to the Lar-San stuff in his ped. He is really HOT so to speak so trying to socialize is not really a good idea. He isn't really too fond of other male dogs at all and he is a fool in the show ring. I'd be more than happy to hook up and check yours out, PM me.

My dog hasn't shown any aggression at all. But he is only 16 months. All he wants to do is play and play fight. I know the this could change at any point, thats why I try to socialize now, before the fire turns on. Well I stay in north Austin. One day when I take him to Walnut Creek park for a run, you could swing by.
