Floyd always spoke of Boze as his favorite.

Floyd always said Boze was his favorite dog that he was the best pit dog he ever saw. Blind Billy was a close second because he produced so well. Floyd had different levels for different kind of dogs, pit dogs and producers . I always thought back in the day Floyd didn't get enough credit for the dogs/ bloodlines that he produced.

Some of the cold and cur dogs produced exceptional [] dogs and dogs whom produced great [] dogs, he has been around since the days of lore no need to internet bash the man he obviously knows his craft better than most. He created a world wide known line which is still producing great dogs to this day. Dogs down from his lines/breedings have gone on to produce other world known lines and dogs. The proof is on the pudding not his name.

I was at this fight years ago. Floyd handled this dog against Mayfield and and George Gilman for Fred Williamson who has a son of Boze he called Pistol who was raised as a house pet. Word was that Pistol was a pet & a cur & that Don Mayfield & George had a dog at 49lbs. that would prove it. Well, after enough talk, ol' Fred said put up or shut up. The match was made. Mayfield had George's blessing to shape up their CH. Gomer dog, a winner of several high dollar contests. CH. Gomer was a littermate to CH. 400, another multi-time winner. Both dogs came in on the weight & at 2:45 CH. Gomer cleared the wall & jumped right into the arms of Don's wife, Phyllis Mayfield. Now who was the cur? A paid advertisement was published in Raymond Holt's magazine 'Pit Dog Report' shortly after the contest. The ad stated "Boudreaux' Pistol: Just an average Boudreaux dog!" The ad wasn't to peddle pups or for stud service, it was simply a statement. And it was true; Pistol was an average off Floyd's dogs.

I posted this article above but I personally think that Pistol was a great dog that whipped a Great Nigger bred dog that finally had enough and jumped the pit. But that is just me and the way I saw it. Boudreaux whipped Mayfield twice and that was hard to do.

Floyd beat a lot of dogmen and his bloodlines have stood the test of time. Mayfield wrote some bad things about Floyd. But Floyd never responded to the trash talk. He let his dogs speak for themselves. If Floyd ever wrote a book dogmen would line up to buy it. The man is the most knowledgeable man alive about Bulldogs period.

    Great read Randy and redrumdog...
I notice alot of times the humble gentlemen are only noticed by similar types...
Unfortunately they are far and few, people like Mr.Boudreaux and people that notice that...

I was fortunate enough to attend Floyd's birthday party some years back. Old time Dogmen from all over showed up to pay respect to a true gentleman and class act that he is.
