What is that? I've done a lil kung fu, Baji Quan, Long Fist basics, and Bagua. I'd like to jump back in kung fu, I love the history and folklore of TCMA (traditional Chinese martial arts). I studied Cuong Nhu for a couple years, my main "style" if you will. It's a combination of styles. Competed in tournaments during the Cuong Nhu days. Also a bit of Muay Thai. Boxing doesn't count to me, but did that too. Wish I had joined the wrestling team in high school, jiu jitsu is on the list too when I can make more time. I LOVE combat!!

Is it more of a self defense thing? No forms, just techniques? When we did "San soo" days, it's was like Muay Thai with kung fu footwork and throws

Kung fu san soo is the best of everything combined into one. That's the easiest way to explain.it. Look up Jimmy woo! . Its hand to hand combat that's what san soo means. There are no rules lolhttps://youtu.be/UfZIj4WhYLM

I've heard of the name before, not too familiar with his art. I'm more of a traditional kinda guy. I like learning the old stuff and making it my own! I love the thought that somebody else was doing what I'm doing a hundred or more years ago! MMA to me is mixing whatever martial arts techniques that work for you. Some are strong some are fast. There are techniques to fit every situation, there's a counter for every counter. That's why I feel one should learn what works for them

The guy I learned from was a considered a master. When we would work out the only rule we went by was we both have to get up a work in the morning lol. We would bang our self up real good most the time mainly me lol.

Just good old boxing and judo. Done some muay thai and also mucked around with some of the old western styles of grappling. I used to compete in longsword fencing as well for a few years but the scene got way too nerdy for me lol. I've jousted a few times as well in full plate armour and let me tell that shit is fun and terrifying. If you get knocked off your horse it feels like a car wreck, that armour weighs 80 lbs plus you're falling off a 17 hand horse going around 35mph. First time I got unhorsed in competition I threw up in my helmet haha
