I have a Valhalla(Mayo)/Morgan cross female. She is an amazing little dog with a solid temperament and high prey drive. I got mine from Mike and was originally supposed to get a pure Morgan pup but I'm glad I got the cross. If I breed my girl it will be to the same cross. Every dog I've met from the Valhalla, Mayo, and Morgan line has drive and loves people which is what I think of when I think OFRN dogs. I have a lot of faith in these folks in Florida and I will continue to keep their lines in the future.

I have heard alot of good things about those whom hog hunt with the morgan family of dogs,,,
solid temperament and high prey drive and are very biddable in the field with others...

Thanks for the short story Staub,,,
any more on your little female and/or pics would be great...

I will admit I always loved some of the different looks of these red dogs and Valhalla kennels look to have some good lookers and pullers,,,
any from that line hunting hogs that you know about???

This is my girl at about 2 years. Her sire is Mayo's(Valhalla's) Leviticus and her dam is Morgan's Red Wine. Red Wine is actually a quarter of Mike's Boyles stuff and the rest his OFRN. I have heard three people talk highly of Levi's ability on hogs and I'm sure there are other's I only know about him because of talking to folks about how my dog is bred. Mike really talked him up and said that's why he made the cross.

Nice looking dog Staub. That bloodline is all over the Tampa area and I had the opportunity too speak with the people running it......albeit very briefly. Mine is bred differently but prey drive and the ability to work is a trait. My boy would work all day long if I didn't intervene, I'm sure your's is the same.

inquire with the owner, they aren't normally parked behind a keyboard.
Call him and ask, his number is public and the man has taken more time out of his day for my stupid questions the last 9 years than I would expect anyone to...I'm sure he'd answer your calls too...

What? No they don't. Do you know how to read a pedigree. Geronimo only appears ONCE in Ch. Iron Spike R.O.M. pedigree on his mother side.
No other "Pure" Norrod dogs have Geronimo in them. Surely Gr. Ch. Koko didn't!
Norrod's Ironline Kennels dogs are 50%+ Corvino coming through Ross' Red Devil R.O.M. 8xw. Red Devil bloodline traces back to Bruce's Jerry who in his era was tightest of the imported OFR.

Not do not confuse Ironline Kennels with Old Family Kennel dogs.

That's not true. Stabber was never matched nor was his brother Rocky. Both died at Frank Creed's house. Stabber was buried in Frank's front yard.
Most don't know a lot of Stabber's breeding was done by Frank, i.e. Patrick's Goldie (dam of Patrick's Red Baby R.O.M.)
Frank only wanted the dog because the Corvino in him through Clouse's Wakki and Clouse's Fanny.

BTW Gr. Ch. Hellbend bloodline goes back into Michael Martin's stock from AL. Michael's stock was a combo of Judge and Humpy who those two were based off Clouse Stabber but also Clouse's Ch. Butcher Boy.

Hold up, I knew Erving Holmes aka Chicken Sam really well, in all those years I knew him he NEVER had Brownlow dogs, Erving used Carver dogs, in fact when Maurice died he was near Erving's home where he passed. Brownlow never dog his OFRN until middle 1970's. All his stock trace back to Geronimo II.
Does any of you know when that dog was born? I DO! Brownlow was NOT a 1960's dogman.......
Bob Hemphill wasn't breeding dogs in the late 60's because he died in 1967 and he was cutting down in dogs greatly by 1966.

OH one more thing, on uTube with Bobby Lemm talking about his mills and how Chicken Sam had 3 of them, if you look around you will see Gr. Ch. Koko's littermate brother Ch. Flash working on a Lemm mill, that is the same bitch's mill Bobby is speaking about in his video of Sam's. It was a gift to Maurice from Bobby and Erving borrowed it and sold it to YKW. lol

^^^^^ Never used Brownlow dogs interesting!? I think a lot of people would say otherwise! I knew CS very well myself, went by his house quite A bit traveling back and forth from Houston to Galveston! I am not saying he used them exclusively BUT I KNOW FOR A FACT HE DID test and match several! AS far as Mr. Brownlow I never meet him! Houston was flooded with those dogs early mid 70's I could be wrong but I think Gator Lou was Brownlow, I THINK!
