Ok I just seen this Goat, ok, heat is most high on the body in certain areas. The armpits, the head, the chest, the groin area Same as dogs. It's the way the body and where the body releases heat. So, if you really want to "cool" the dog. Use a sponge and hold it in those areas using cool water. It gradually lowers the temp in this way. This way is used for those "in active shock" and "in active seizure activity". While active, you don't want to cool the body to fast. But pre activity, pour it to them. Cool them fast, then regulate using methods I just mentioned and maintain by using methods I just mentioned. When pouring water all over a dog, his fur blocks most of it. But wetting the fur by poring it would act as a sponge in its own right and staying wet during the match would keep him cooler during the match. More of a LONGTERM care and preventative care.
