Oh yeah I gave away a dog I shouldn't have and gave it to a person I shouldn't have and I regret it everyday. I should not have given up on her so easily and I let her down.It was a sad day for my fam when they woke up and found out I gave her away. I felt like an ass about and still do sometimes.Live and learn

Getting a dog when i was still a teenager. I really wasnt mature enough, didn't fight the dog or anything just let girls get in the way. To add to that I really didnt have the money for vet visits and such.

    1. Leaving dogs in wrong hands.
    2. Not listening to my elders in my teens.
    3. Starting dogs too young.
    4. Not breeding a few bitches I had at one point because I always thought I'd get around to it later.
    5. I'll leave blank and come back in a few more years cause I'll probly do something that I regret sometime or another down the road.

    Sincerely Yours, Cajun

The search for good mentorship instead of the search for a good dog.A good dog makes anyone look descent.A good mentor teaches the oppisite, that a good man makes descent dogs look good and good dogs great. Some aces are born and some are handmade.

The only mistake I made was born in the wrong decade.

for me, I was young and stupid. I chose the nightlife (partying and girls) over my dogs. if only I can go back and knock some sense into myself I would have my yard still. should of, could of, would of

Another huge mistake I regret is letting my ego get the best of me and trying to look like a hardcore/badass dogman pulling the plug on some I wish I hadn't of.

My biggest mistake was having too large of a yard while living in a rental house. Once the shit hit the fan at the house, I was scrambling to put dogs on different yards. It worked for a little while but not in the long run. At the end of the story I lost all of my dogs. I was young and dumb. By far the biggest mistake and I truly learned from it.

This is precisely why I am waiting till i buy a house before any apbt come into my house. should be this time next year Ill have a house. I went on craigslist looking for a dog for my kid and most the dogs on there are pitbull type or bullymutts and a big majority are listed due to moving or landlord issues. Basically these folks didn't plan ahead I don't want to be one of those guys.

Yea most rental places will have a clause excluding these dogs as accepted pets. A lot of times you insurance company will give you shit about it too

I even had a "really comfortable" situation with my landlord. They used to take rent payment in something other than money, that's how cool they were. They knew how many dogs and what breed, etc. The problem was not initially with my landlord, the problem was with the police and them c**ksuckers pressured my landlord somehow to evict me. Either way, the point is I was out and my dogs were the ones to eventually suffer the most. You live and learn, especially when you're young. And I most definitely learned from that situation. Good thread naus.

i wasn't going to reply to this one lol.... but id have to say lettin my 8 month old first bull dog off the lead at a mates cattle station because he said she couldn't really hurt anything lol.... well it cost me 2 days work fixing fences that the bull ran through while she had hold of its nose.
i was more concerned than my mate, he still laugh's about it till this day, he still can't believe such a little dog could have pulled up a beast like she did(37lbs)
i was 17 years old at the time, im in my late 40's now and ill never forget the day, lol...what can i say,,,,proud dad or "idiot" still not sure lol...
