how high is the fence around a baseball field? bout 4ft... every one of mine ( cept the blind one ) could jump right over that.

while we appreciate you taking your dog out JZ, you have to realize the potential windfall and act accordingly.
an example- up north we walked 3 hours a day...every day. all i have to worry about encountering was wild animals, as people where i lived always contained dogs. fast forward-moved down south, on 125 acres. cant walk the dogs down the road because hardly anyone here contains dogs. they run free all the time. hence why i do not walk my dogs anymore- i cant set them up to fail.
if you must go to the ball field use the long lead, we will all be gald you did. parks in general are a bad idea, due to the negligence of other dog owners

Just try the dam lead 50 ft is long she wont even know she has it on and in a week you will get used to it also!! i am amazed she keeps commin back to be ridiculed.

My dogs would never be off leash that close to a road with that much traffic unless the fence was 10-12 ft high with a locked gate. That is just me though i am overly careful!!

I know I am the new guy in school on here but damn LOL this is one messy thread and to my understanding the more anyone bashes or says stupid shit about her dog that has nothing to do with the argument about being leashed in public, your only causing more injuries to the mind of both of you. Your making it a dog and cat battlefield my friends:dogtongue: leave it at that the advice that you already gave her to let her know it was given but the more you try to force it down her throat in hateful and useless ways nothings going to be considered or improvised here. Think about it when someone knows they are already doing what is safe and right and you step in with this "Do as I say" choking her type of mentality what is that going to cause? someone who's going to be even MORE resentful towards any "advice" you may have to offer. That might scare some people or be enough for some, but obviously not in this situation.

Technically you and I can't MAKE her do this 50ft leash thing, if the law doesn't step in and make her if it sadly has to come to that but until then the majority of you think your giving advice maybe at first you clearly were, but now when in reality your not doing any better then she may be doing. Which I personally feel she is not completely retarded for going to a 10ft all around fenced field with gated doors when nobody is present.

Did we step on your girlfriends toes? If you notice, the posts started good and went down with her attitude. She wanted advice, we gave it to her, she told us we don't know what we're talking about. She can do what she wants, I just want to see if she has the balls to let the board know when it bites her on the ass. :cool:

 

I am posting my opinion I am not picking a side like a child nor am I favoring her because yeah I saw that she is a beautiful girl but that has nothing to do with anything I stated or my opinions. To me looks like she posted this crap just to burst some steam off and she's probably thinking on the wrong damn place to do so now after being a victim that fell into a piranha tank but hell, some of you are saying a lot of shit that is purely coming off from anger or attitude as well now, not earlier in the thread but now. I have no dog in this hunt, I just think she's a typical owner in today's typical pit bull world, clueless and part of the problem. To own these dogs a person should understand not only the dog's nature, but the nature of the pit bull problem at hand, she exhibits neither trait.

 

Yeah, they look to be about 18-24 months only. I would never allow any of the dogs to come near each other like that, especially while working a flirtpole. Things can easily get messy and you never know when they may turn on because it is still early.
