Gr Ch Slammer. Wasn't white but wasn't black either.

 

never heard of the White Rock being a freak and if your refering to Tudors Spike, I would agree he was said to be freakishly fast such as HHsGrCh Rufus but both lacked that freakish mouth that Shadey, Zebo, Pit General, had... I am sure that both Spikes and Rufus had black insides their mouth which increased the freakishhh...
All kidding aside, I never heard of White Rock being a freak can you refer me to any references... And I would consider Tudors Spike to be an ace not a freak...

Received my copy of Pit News Today. I read with interest the many accounts of the contests held on the 21st of May.
For the sake of me I dont see how anyone could get so mixed up on the happenings,in so short a time.
I will give my version of the contest I was involved in.
I heard alot about the White Rock dog.Everyone told me he was a real good one.
I had a chance to use what I thought to be the best 46-47 pound dog as I had ever seen.
I had seen this dog win a good fight sometime before.
Well, to make a long story short Jimmy Wimberly amd I matched two dogs at 47lbs. top weight, to be weighed at pitside.
Both dogs weighed in at 47 pounds.Both dogs were washed and brought to their corners.
Upon the commands of the referee the dogs were released.
They met in the center of the pit.My dog,in my opinion had the best of it for the first five minutes.
When the white dog finally got into my dogs chest he hurt him bad with the first hold.
My dog never at any time from then on, was even with White Rock.
At 21 minutes, my dog was helpless, and there was no chance of him winning.
I agreed to pick up and concede the fight to White Rock.I asked for a courtesy scratch. My dog made a good scratch and was dead in a few hours.
I have heard several reasons why I didnt win.Here is my reason why I didnt win:
I didnt have near enough Dog!
The White Rock dog in my opinion is one of the all-time greats.
Jimmy had him in wonderful condition,and the best dog won.Thats as it should be.

Thanks for the report osage, I believe Jim Wimberly also shaped the Spike dog vs Corvinos Dugan...
By alot of accounts, Jim Wimberly was one of the best at the time as well as Bert Clouse...

I once read a storey on the ch.Viper bitch froma 50 50 0f jarrets ch head and tstone blood, she was a very foul fighter that won all thee in a short order, paralizing one with a spine chomp and gutting another... She cured or killed everydog she touched... HH owned both and said she was one of the few that if the same circunstances would have been a good one against the great Ace Molly Bee... His scenerio is a foul freak can catch an ace on a whim and still win, and vice versa the ace just needs to stay one step ahead and put of trouble to neutrilize them... Either way its the makings for a classic...

 

Bad becky never got off the chain in any yard accident. ..where did you hear this from?..I saw shady lady go....nobody could touch her

 

Shady lady also produced which makes her one of the best in my opinion. .we had a gyp named shady black that was a carbon copy of shady lady.....she probably won over 50 otc...hunts

Molly Bee and Queen of hearts didnt stop at five either, I wonder if Shadey would have dominated for another five or three as the others...

That was taken on our yard...I use to have lots of pics of all our dogs.but my ex wife threw away my photo album....reason why shady lady never double grand ch. Was when Anthony got those dogs from Ricky (including gr.ch. sampson ) Anthony decided to get pups off of her instead and felt he she had nothing to prove. ..he did turn down 30k cash for her shortly after we got her..

 

I ought to have included both genders in the original post. I doubt too many males would have beat Shady Lady if she went for her preferred hold (as Mark Twain wrote, the "pet holt").

 

yeah she would fight a male even when in heat she would try to kill him

 

we had to take all kinds of precautions with grand champion shadylady when we bred her more so than any other dog.first we had to put a muzzle on her then we had to put her in a brood box then we also had to put a collar around her neck with a leash and stand on the leash then we also had to hold her by the head she was crazy and did not want to breed she just wanted to kill

 

She sounds like a great white lol
