it was a damn good fight that the dickhead ref tried to fuck up.ill def watch the rematch(khan vs peterson).

 

yeah i think he will too. i didnt like how cocky khan was in the ring, but the only reason he lost was because of the bogus ref calling on pushing that most boxers do to a certain extent. it was not like he was pushing him to the ground. the ref won the fight for Peterson and not the other way around.

 

I had it at a Draw

 

Not to take anything away from Peterson because he fought his heart out,but he was exhausted before the start of 12th.Did you catch his trainer smacking him on the chin and telling him to pick his F'n head up in the corner after the 11th?Khan looked like he could have went another 3 rounds after the fight.Peterson's trainer played a big part in that win! He is a real good trainer in my eyes.I hope the next fight is as good as the first.I was pulling for Peterson the whole fight,and got pretty worked up yelling at my TV,but when the ref took a point in the final round I couldn't believe it.To bad for Oscar though LOL...he was pumped for that fight.

 

That would have been a fair outcome IMO too.I have to watch the fight again,and score it because I really didn't think it was going to go the distance.So without the points taken away and the "knockdown" in the first would you still have it a draw? I think I would.

 

i think it was a good fight... whenever it goes to points someone feels robbed.
khan is still young and learning,i can"t wait for the re-match scheduled for March. i don"t think it will go the distance next time..i wont mention the ref ...lol

 

I thought the ref was going to be good when he yelled out "let's throw some thunder" before round 1,but then he got his leg tangled with Peterson's and I thought to myself maybe not.That guy could have a career in England though hehe.

 

Sorry I didnt Clarify...Without the points taken away and the Knockdown/Pushdown I had it at a Draw And with the Points Taken away for the Pushdown and Pushing you know peterson won by 1 point , But as always When scoring a fight, it is Highly open to Interpretation by what the Judges are seeing and what they like....

 

well it was a funny fight altogether if you really look at it. Peterson was called on a false knockdown. khan was called on pushing twice which many fighters do do on aggressive fighters. a rematch is necessary. IMO Ref's need to be firm in the ring and pull the man to the side and give an official warning. you dont warn the fighter while he is fighting, thats just not the way to do it. Khan would have won a split decision if it werent for them 2 points. the judging and scoring was fare the Ref was horrible. if khan lost this fight he should have lost the Maidana fight also. i want Maidana to have another fight with khan too. either way khans wanted fight w/pac or may has been pushed back 2 or more years. I wonder what Tim bradley has planned now lol

 

I threw out scoring in Rd.3,and I know my interpertation was scewed because I was praying for Peterson to catch Khan.My immediate reaction after the final bell was Peterson won but they would rule it a draw or give it to Khan.I hope HBO re-airs this with the other FOTY candidates so I can sit there and score it.Peterson hit the jackpot though because he'll get another 2 fights with Khan.

 

I saw Khan push off alot more than twice.I also didn't like the wrestling tactics with the headlocks.Peterson was chasing him and connecting all night and he didn't like it.I had Khan winning the Maidana fight,but I'd love to see a second fight there also.

 

i actually had khan on top. i mean he out worked him i just think petersons punches were mmore effective. the points the ref took were bs

It was close, like I said on the other thread, Petersen fought the best fight of his career.

HAHA yeah im on it. how did you like the new heavyweight Seth Mitchell? it would be nice to see a U.S heavyweight back in the game to take it away from the klitschko freaks. i hope he has what it take to get up there to match with them. i havent seen anyone get laid out cold in awhile.

 

That was the first time I saw Seth Mitchell and I was impressed.Real good attitude too!I'd love to see a good american heavyweight again also.I respect what the Klitscho's accomplished,but I miss Holyfield,Bowe,Tyson,Tua,I'd even be happy with another Golatta lol.

 

After re-watching the fight last night I had Khan winning even with the points taken away.I also noticed alot of wrestling tactics from Peterson too,so both fighters were even in that area.Another thing I didn't catch was in the 12th after Khan loses a point,Peterson pushes off right in front of the ref and Khan looks at him like come on you saw that.A few rounds were really hard to score because they were so close.I knew my "live" watching of the fight was biased because I always love to see an underdog win,and Peterson was just that.Like everyone else already said though,I can't wait for the rematch.This was a really hard fight to score though because it was so back and fourth.I wouldn't be surprised if I see more things I missed when watching it for a third time.

 

He did real good imo his story reminds me that of Sergio Martinez, Athletes but didnt hit the Boxing gym til Age 20 So he is Very inexperienced but he shows the will to Learn and is a qwik learner bc he Boxed and saw the oppurtunity to Finish his opponent and went for it, I want to see him fight again
