What RG is trying to tell you is that that is like asking what to expect if you bred a Bassett/Pointer to a GSD/poodle... Some lines have general characteristics, but it is hard to even say what you will get when crossing 2 lines or even a single line for that matter. This is even moreso the case here because those are all dogs that would be several gens back in the pedigree(if they are even in it at all) so the variation even among those lines can be very great. Also, you really need to get the hang of the word "in"...;)

lol i noticed that so how can i figure out the characteristics??

they'll probably be black, red or buckskin. and grow to 48# or less. more than likely high strung and look like regular ol bulldogs. they may or may not have glaring genetic faults depending on the breeder. undershot, cow hocked, etc...

  10. da boy

    da boy Pup

    is that a bad thing

Well Naus is right about the color, if that matters...

There is a good thread floating around about general characterstics that is pretty accurate, but again with that much variety, who knows what you'll get. I'm not sure what you are wanting, but you should search for a breeder that will show you their stock that has what you want(a good house dog, a maniac worker, a dog that will hold onto a bad hog all day long, etc)

That aint battle cross, that is some scatterbred shit with no direction... Post the ped up? Sounds like a backyard or newspaper breeder. I would put my money back in my pocket save up and go get a proven gyp then take her and breed her to the best producing dog i could find and go from there..

  13. i agree dependin on ur initial purpose for havin dog to start if u wantin start yard id reccomend somethin super inbred otherwise prospect makes the ped if u get hung up on blood might miss out on good bulldog cant go wrong wit genetics they been provin do some research bro

  14. I don't want to get into the ch35 arguement but this wording battle cross is a joke, it makes it sound cooler but truly scatterbred. But I have seen dogs that were bred like this, scatterbred with all bulldog breedings. I have a buddy, who TB, RB, JP, Luther Jr., and some old going light barney and the first 3 gens is nothing but true performers and I seen the first two gens with my own two top and bottom, mother and father to this litter are exceptional bulldogs that have shown to produce. It isn't anything to base a yard off but if you just want solid bulldogs, it should be a nice breeding. The bad thing about these type of breedings is the direction to go, but again all you can do with a dog like this when breeding them is bred them to straight bulldogs. Sometimes it isn't just about perserving a blood, it is about owning bulldogs. You my friend asking for the advice, if you aren't to bulldogs don't buy those dogs; sounds like you are into APBTs; big difference IMO. If you like the person and you are just looking for a pet and you like the sire/dam go for it. Sometimes it isn't about the pedigree, it is the relationships of humans that the dogs bring to the table for us. If you are wanting a yard and be honest with yourself, take your time; research, look, then look again, go with your gut and get a better bred dog. But I wouldn't give more than $250 bucks for a pup and truly I wouldn't give a buck for one but that is just me.

If you are asking such questions then you are in no shape to get a bulldog.

Is it a good thing if my dog is cow hocked???? Seriously.....Please

I see your a member on this site for a year or so, my suggestion is that you wait another year, do 2 / 3 hours reading on this site every night....after school LOL and then you MAY be ready

You sound like a complete novice to dogs in general if you ask me, best do some learning or leave the real dogs to the big boys and girls

    i agree

getting "the real deal" is no joke, they are special and need special attention, not all people are prepared for it.

  17. I had four years under my belt and thought I was doing it. LMAO, I am still green as hell today and been 10 years now and just starting to get an idea of what bulldogs really hard and had great bred dogs for 5 years straight. That is why I laugh at people when they call it game, I feel like I have learned more from these dogs than I learned in 12 years of high school and the last 3 years of college. Patience is one thing that I have aquired that I didn't have and that is why most fail with these dogs.

i agree. youre wanting too much too fast, youre going to mess up and waste quite a few years of your time not knowing what youre doing and pushing to get a bulldog. i suggest you take a large step back, and pass on the dog.
