i agree 100 percent...... i totally hate this health care bill

thats whats wrong with this country... All the poor think they are entitled to something ... hell now the goverment is giving out free cell phones , welfare , foodtstamps , and they give out disability to evrey drunk and drug addict that doesnt have a job... the drunk that lives next door to my grandma is 48 never ever worked , drinks evrey damn day and he is running around with food stamp cards a cell and disability , all from hard working tax payer dollars so he can ride up and down the block and wake up old women at 3 in the morning drunk off his ass... not to mention free health care and meds ... then he takes the meds and sells em.... a maggot if you ask me

ps how can u say obama sucks? the worse thing he did was PROMISE to do things that he wasnt sure he could do. He was elected in an impossible situation. He can NOT do whatever he wants and most the stuff he has tried to pass has been veto'd. NO man can change an entire country in a few mouths unless its for the worse and i dont feel any worse off now than i did this time last year. people need to see the bigger picture...

It's easy to become a fugitive for the poor these days all they have to do is pop babies out and recieve more of our hard tax paying money I am sure some of those less fortunate do not neglect the system and are good citizens but for the MOST part anything given as a free sticker is only going to contribute to the damaging cycle of people who want to live by our tax money and continue to neglect what they can.

synno my biggest fear is that the price of insurance is gonna go thru the roof, actually im pretty sure it will. but it is more than broke, it needs to be fixed but i think that takin more time to find a better plan would've been benefictual. U know that most countries have universal healthcare? there is NO EXCUSE to people dyin due to lack of funds, that only happens in 3rd world countries which are def are not.

Trust me when i say i know what it is to be broke, I grew up in the "HOOD" on foodstamps and WIC back when foodstamps was paper coupons and WIC brought the box of food every thursday morning and sat it on the front porch... I know theres some people that need assistance, but that does not change the fact that I grew up, got a job, and went to college to better myself. All it takes is a little effort... but you got people that are OK with where they're at so they never try because everything they need is given to them for free...

 

i graduate in august but everyone doesnt have the chance to goto college. If i didnt have a jumpshot i wouldnt have gotten this opportunity. I think that the assistance needs definately tweaking and a time limit but then r u gonna make kids suffer bc of lazy as parents? its a tough situation, however thats for money and food. im talkin about healthcare, i think everyone should have healthcare, that other stuff is extra

 

But see thats the thing there is oppurtunity for people to go to college ,hell some of the grants the government gives you actually get a check for going to school... all Im saying is theres already so many assistance programs out there that this is just another way for the government to get people to need them to survive, I dont know about you but I would never rely on someone else to feed my son or pay my bills ,even if i gotta work jobs at 3 different McDonald's... where do you draw the line? as far as the kids with the lazy ass parents... take em away so they dont get that lazy ass attitude ingrained in them, give em to a family that works hard for the things they have so they know what americas all about!

 

Bullshit. If you want free healthcare move to canada, they are recruiting. I sweat to god the only think this bill is doing is turning the us into canada. Btw canada does not know how to run a country, they just follow the us and do everything to the extreme.. Doctors in canada are broke, houses in canada cost too much, any type of medical problem has a long wait (months, possible years..). Sure Gramma that is broke and lives alone can't gwt free healthcare in the us. But why don't we just change it so seniors without dependents can get it?
In canada Gramma doesn't live as ling because of her crappy care coming up. In European countries (AND CANADA) they hand out prescription pills all the time instead of working to find the problem, since drugs are the only way to bring in extra money.g. People go to the doctors far too often when its "free".
Making healthcare free in the us will accomplish a few things. Doctors will lose money.
The quality of care will decrease.
Taxes will slowly but surely increase to the point of robbery (roughly 15% all over canada atm)
University teachers will make less. Admissions will be cheaper. Quality of schooling will decrease.
USA will no longer be able to compete for world best doctors if no one goes to school to get a government job.
I just can't believe anyone on this website is happy with the government stealing from them. Take from the rich and give to the poor, even worse, take from everybody and give it back in equal portions..... WTF that's what canada does. Everyone is forced intoi the middle class... Socialism?? Got damn that's right.

i can respect what you are sayin gem and i argue to a large degree, very large degree. i think we both are against lettin ppl live off the government. Ill use myself as an example. Work full-time and goto school, i have NO HEALTHCARE. Im not lazy, far from it, just cant afford it. I dont want food stamps or my bills paid, but it'd be nice to be able to goto the doc when something is wrong without having to worry about how in the world im gonna pay for those huge medical expenses.
