pig skin for spring pole

    Any one uses them? Are they any good i was thinking about drying them up and using them. Any bad's?

    i dont know how pig skin work but cow hides are very durable!

    yes i know that cow hides are very durable just wondering about pigs since they are easier for me to get.

    this is not my experience but i think it will work, just try it ;)

    "I got my pup on the springpole by putting a thick piece of pig skin (hide) on it instead of a toy. After that there was no stopping him. He'll pull and hang on that thing forever if i let him."

    Hog hides work very well, even after they dry out. I cut them in a bowtie shape and tie the rope in the area where the Knot would be. This gives the impression of catching an ear and it seems to work out well as the rope stays in between the two sides easier. Our dogs take naturally to hogs, and very few people have hogs in the close vacinity , unlike cattle. If you work your hogs on a cow hide and your neighbor has cattle, That could create a problem if that dog ever gets loose !

    lol it dont work so well with a older dog. My dog tore the shit out of it. (maybe it was too small of a piece)
