Totw is owned by diamond, if you want to feed a quality food and price isn't an issue I like orijen.

Re: Is Blue Buffalo a good reputable company?
If you are going to go with this Company I recommend using the wilderness formula that's what I use it's completely grain free and an excellent feed the only downfall is 24lbs for 50.00 LOL When you can pay about the same price for TOTW and get 30lbs. I have 4 dogs to feed so I end buying 2 bags a month. I understand about the recall concerns though and Diamond has been having some issues lately although I believe it was only certain products affected and TOTW was not one of them.

If you want top of the line creme de la creme dog food go with Orijen or Evo ... Price will vary based on where you live but evo for a 28lb bag starts at around 60. Orijen you are looking at 75-80 ....

Re: Is Blue Buffalo a good reputable company?
You can get Orijen from Amazon $66 for 29lbs. If you have a prime account it's free shipping and maybe a discount.
All the major brands are on Amazon if you want to buy from them.
I pay $71 for the 29lb bag locally in DC. The owners are neighbors and good people so I don't mind the extra $5 to support their business.

Re: Is Blue Buffalo a good reputable company?
Orijen has given my pup great results. Beautiful coat and fresh breath. My dog seems to be very happy and full of energy. Orijen is at the top of my list. 2nd would have been Taste of The Wild but they just had a recall for possible salmonella conserns in May of 2012. Evo was taken over by Procter&Gamble a while back so I can't trust them anymore. Orijen #1

Re: Is Blue Buffalo a good reputable company?
hello i am the newbie, but not when it comes to dogs and their food. i have had boone on blue buffalo since has been weened he is now 5months and one week.50 lbs good mass you would never think he is that heavy. i have owned mostly rottweilers and johnson bulldogs but this being my first pitt i made sure he got what i thought was one of the best kibbles!! summary;blue buffalo good ingredients, fancy package, high price, and they have had their own recalls. i mix raw meat in with kibble for taste mainly, now ToTW has no fancy package, ingredients are quality,(like blue buffalo) i put down two bowls mind u this is my dog others may be completely opposite!THE WINNER !! tOtw why, he likes it better!! i made sure he was between feedings and he perfeed Totw 3 times compared to blu buff.in my trial between the two that was my outcome. bonuses,i pay less for great quailty and i get more food for my money... blu buff 32.00 for 11lbs/ ToTW 15#lbs for 25.00,conclusion the food has more of a game taste with the bison, deer meat along with fish and salmon. this said if its guarnteed quailty and he likes it and their are no problems with the dog then stick with it their are a lot of good choices these days!! haha my fist post hope they are not all this long lol!
