Re: manny pacquiao vs juan manuel marquez
I love me some underdogs and if my analisys leads me to conclude that the underdog has a chance to overcome the odds I will most definitely bet for the underdog in the real world not some fake ass scenario.

Re: manny pacquiao vs juan manuel marquez
RRL its obvious that you will use any irrelevant argument to save face... so I will give you the win for the sake of not arguing about irrelevant shit, but for you to compare the relevance of a boxer's entourage vs another type of fight is utterly ridiculous. So for the sake of keeping on point, and to keep your frail ego from taking any more power shots from my comments, which by the way will slice through your rationale like a butcher's knife through butter, you were, are, and will always be right.

Re: manny pacquiao vs juan manuel marquez
What I thought was funny was the differing perspectives from the commentators that did the live american show as opposed to the UK commentators on box nation. Some of the commentery from the mexican commentators was a little more on point but that was only in hindsight since mexican tv broadcast the fight on an hour delay.

Re: manny pacquiao vs juan manuel marquez
well the main difference I noticed was that th UK commentators could fathom how merchant had given so many rounds to cotto let alone two consecutive rounds on his unofficial card. The thing is that merchant, im keeping with his philosophy of power punches as opposed to sheer amount of jingle punches , scored both the canelo fight and the cotto fight according to the same principle hence the results of the rounds according to his card. I did not see the box nation's commentary on the canelo fight, but they were in disagreement that so many rounds were given to cotto on that unofficial card.

Re: manny pacquiao vs juan manuel marquez
Did not hear the UK commentators on this fight, but the fights I've listened to on the UK radio they did not have an agenda of hyping a fighter up.That's all I'm saying about Merchant is he does not give un-neccesary praise, every anylist has a style they prefer, even judges do.I've watched fights and after re-watching I scored them different.

Khan rematch could be called off after Peterson fails drug test
By Martin Domin
PUBLISHED: 00:24 EST, 8 May 2012 | UPDATED: 01:35 EST, 8 May 2012
Amir Khan's rematch with Lamont Peterson is in serious doubt after the American tested positive for a banned substance.
The fight is due to take place on May 19 in Las Vegas, five months after Peterson stunned the reigning WBA and IBF light-welterweight champion in their controversial first meeting.
In doubt: Amir Khan may call off rematch with Lamont Peterson (left) after failed drugs test
But with less than two weeks until the rematch, the revelation by Peterson's team has thrown Kahn's plans into disarray.
Peterson's attorney, Jeff Fried, issued the following statement late on Monday: 'We have tremendous respect for VADA [Voluntary Anti-Doping Association] and its mission. Lamont, [his trainer] Barry [Hunter] and the entire team emphatically support random drug-testing in the most comprehensive manner possible.
'We are working expeditiously with a team of pathologists and other medical specialists. Lamont has never had a positive test either before or after this isolated occurrence and we plan to submit medical findings by close of Tuesday reflecting the actual facts in support of Lamont's good faith intentions and the requirements of the commission.'
Ironically, it was Peterson who suggested the pair undergo Olympic-style drugs testing in the build-up to the fight.
Speaking in March, he said: 'It's not that we think Khan is cheating or anything. It's just that there are people who are out there cheating and they have new methods of cheating.
'And we do urine tests all the time so why not take blood tests and make sure everyone is safe in the ring.'
Reports suggested that Peterson has tested positive for synthetic testosterone and while there is no evidence that the 28-year-old is guilty of any wrongdoing, the substance can be used to increase muscle strength and mass and shorten recovery time.
Point to prove: Peterson controversially beat Khan
Asif Vali, Khan's business manager, told Sky Sports News: "Obviously last night it was a shock when I received the call to say Lamont had failed a drug test.
'However, the Peterson team seem to think that something's gone wrong during the very first VADA drug test which Lamont took in March. Their explanation is that it's something he took earlier on in the year - before the last fight.'
Asked whether the fight was on or off as things stood, he replied: 'The fight's on. Obviously the Nevada commission will come back to us with their findings. They'll look at things quite in depth before they make a final decision. That decision's due to come to us by the end of play on Tuesday.'
Vali added on Sky Sports News of Khan: 'He's very disappointed. Bear in mind he went to the training camp early to get ready for this fight and nobody likes to see a boxer go through preparations for a fight and then find out at the last hurdle that something's gone wrong - certainly when it's not their fault.
'We're 10 days away from the fight. We don't want to make any assumptions in any way, shape or form. The fight is still on at the moment. I know the fans will be disappointed. People waking up will be in shock. People have made plans to go there. We want to do everything possible to ensure the fight's on.'
Khan complained to the WBA, IBF and Washington DC commission after losing his light-welterweight titles to Peterson in the American's hometown, Washington, last year.
He highlighted several grievances, chiefly referee Joseph Cooper's deduction of two points, the judges' scoring of the bout and the unexplained presence of 'mystery man' Mustafa Ameen at ringside.

Re: manny pacquiao vs juan manuel marquez
regardless, I thought Peterson fought the fight of his life in his home town when he beat Khan last year. I'm going to go with Khan if the rematch does take place (even though I really dont like him).

Re: manny pacquiao vs juan manuel marquez
I'm no khan fan either but that was his fight. Peterson fought the fight of his life and still needed khans 2 point deduction to win the decision. Still was interesting though even my girl was kinda hype for this rematch cuz the first one. I think khan wins too. Peterson kinda took him out of his element in first fight cuz in the beginning rounds khan looked to fast and stayed away but got sucked into a battle.
