    Default Brag about my Patterdale.

Kainda did awesome today in her 1st ever UKC Terrier Race. This little 12" wonder really kicked butt. She took 1st place in the flats and steeples, and took Fastest Overall in 10 - 12 1/2" Open, both in flats and steeples. She also earned 25 points towards both her UR (United Racer) and USR (United Steeple Racer) titles. This could be something worth pursuing with her! She definitely lived up to her name today (CH Lost Lake Crush N The Competition).
Here are some pics of her and her winnings.

    Thanks for looking.

She is really good at holding her position after I place her there. I guess it comes from her days in the conformation ring.
Not sure about the declaws. I know her breeder does the tails herself, but I don't know why she leaves the declaws. My JRT breeder does both of them himself. I suppose it is just her preference.

I posted her ped on apbtpedsonline, but no longer have an account there. If someone can pull her ped up it is...Lost Lake Crush N The Competition.
She is from Lost Lake Farms out of Cole and Kelly. I will have to dig up her paper pedigree for more info than that.

I do love her size. She is 12" tall and weighs 10lbs. She is hell on four legs and crazy drive.
I am also planning on hopefully getting her agility and weight pull titles next year.
Here are a couple of pictures taken today, when I was working her on rats.

Do you work her? Because their not a show breed but a working breed and how she works is all that matters

Great to see your training her to work? While i agree with agility/flyball etc,i feel it'll be the breeds ruin if thats the only dogs purpose, outlet.

As far as sports, Kainda does agility, weight pull, rally, terrier races, and go to ground. She can't do flyball, because she prefers to take out the opposing dog rather than race it.
In the woods, she has been on squirrels, opossums, and racoons. We just have to really careful, since rabies is very common in our area. She thoroughly enjoys the occasional stray cat that crosses her path. She also tries to take on my female apbts whenever the chance arises.

Great stuff! Your a credit to the breed. I was going to start flyball but my Patt's started to get a bit scappy. There's a huge Lab down the road that clamped my Springer and goes nuts when we walk passed and started doing it to my Patterdale. The Lab came flying at the fence the other day screaming, raging to get at her but she showed no fear and went straight back at it,only problem for the Lab its muzzle was to large to get through the slats in the fence but the Patterdale's wasn't!!!!!

you can work your dog the natural way the way they where bred for . Some may think it's illegal but its not . cats aka ditch cougars isn't really worth much other then a batty crazy cat lady neighbor going crazy when she can't find fluffy lol . But dog aggression in patterdales is frown on it's a pack dog and is bred to work in packs unlike the apbt that is not a pack breed of dog .

The breeder you got her from did they work their patts? or just show and sports?

Earth work is not pack work.
If you put 2 earth dogs (no matter if it is a Dachshund, Jagdterrier, Patterdale...) in one burrow, they will fight everything below. Even the other dog.
I have worked APBTs on wild boar who were more dog friendly than some Patterdale Terriers. Also I have seen APBT pit ch. who are dog friendly, too.

What is a good weight for a 15lb Patterdale terrier to pull?

I beg to differ i know some who will tell you DOG AGGRESSION in patterdales is a no no you dont want your dogs fighting each other in the ground dogs will die that way . And just because you "worked " a few pit bulls and we can use the word "pit bull" loosely here that worked fine together with no dog aggression doesn't mean the breed wasnt bred to be dog on dog aggressive

The APBT is not bred to be dog agressive, ...it's bred to win the match.
There are more than one APBT Ch. who has won matches without dog agression.
