Wannabee dogmen
So I was told today from someone who's been in the game for 15+ years that only wannabee dog men and rookies are the one's posting on here.
True dog men keep their shyt private.
Is this true?

Re: Wannabee dogmen
I've met old and young wannabe's during my time w/ the hounds. There are a lot of them on here and many other sites, but there are some real men and women on sites like this. I've met a few in person from this site and we still keep in contact.

Re: Wannabee dogmen
lol your boys half right!, take a look at 75% of the users on here. most are on for a week (if that) then we never hear of em, now dont get me wrong these spots are good for networking, but still not very smart.
so would i say it for the "wannabe" dogman? sure....but its also for the folks that have no outlet to learn about the dogs, also an outlet to educate folks on BSL (which i think is the main purpose for these sights), and there are those that are already into the dogs, spout off all theyre accomplishments & advertise theyre 2xw for stud.

Re: Wannabee dogmen
I guess real dogmen go on fedsonline.com instead, lol. In today's day age, the last thing I want my name associated with is being a dogman. I am just petbull owner who likes going to conformation shows. Besides if I didn't talk to you guys, I would go crazy, I have friends with dogs but that don't love this stuff like I do and this place gives me a place to hangout and talk bloodlines and health with people that live, breathe, and love the APBT. To own these dogs you have to be a little screwed up in the head anyways, who balances money in their checkbook for collars, doghouses, dogfood, vet bills, or spends their 7 year anninversary at a dog show and their wife is cool with it. Just like our dogs, we are a totally different breed of people.

Re: Wannabee dogmen
Everyone on this site is an individual. They have their own backgrounds. This forum is simply a place to meet and discuss different topics.
I don't believe it would be in a "real" dogmans or a "wannabe" dogmans best interest to post something incriminating on this website or any other however.

Re: Wannabee dogmen
I call them internet dogman... and yes IMO they are a dime a dozen on this site.... easy to spot as well....usually spouting off at the mouth something negative about this blood or that... this dog or that one.... calling each others curs... talking shit about their dogs but never a picture of one finely conditioned animal... it's easy... Actually they're just some folks who have access to some old SDJ's and then think they know everything....
By the way... I'm just an amatuer with some purty show dogs....

Re: Wannabee dogmen
You will have wannabees in all walks of life, then you will have the people that have been there and done that, and the ones that want to learn.... Most that have been there and done that are still learning and that is what I see that sets everyone apart, when you quit learning its all over... As long as you want to learn the game keeps going

Re: Wannabee dogmen
I definitely agree that there are some people on here that post the stupidest stuff... Like gov't officials aren't watching this site and a million others. I also agree with LWG, this is about the only place some people have, like myself, for learning about the breed and its history.
