Thread: Sorrells Dogs

    Default Sorrells Dogs

    threw a significant number of Ch's and a few Gr Ch's !

Why is it that this line has not had such a big impact on the Game Dog arena as the others ?

Some Facts ! Some Opinions !

There are dogs around that come down from the greats in this line. They are not really easy to find. THose that know keep things quite.

And with good reason. Sorrell might have been the best blood in my area before that huge bust we had.

you r very well right.that is why thier is so many hung papers.peolpe did not want you to know what they where winning with and the ones that were active that sold dogs did not want to have to go back into their own dogs and get beat.i also believe that is 1 reason that alot of the people are down putting todays colby dogs.jmo

well there is truth to that BD. lots of hung papers a good example when titto had all them good rodney / powerhouse bred dogs. they weren't really powerhouse bitches he was breeding to. they were out of a bitch named "cherry bomb" & she was straight bullyson. he was called out on that shit right in front of the owner of "cherry bomb" by R&R jones boys.

The last of my pure sorrels dogs died off years ago. I loved em, and if given the chance to get some today directly from buckshot I'd be all over it. I started with sorrels and wouln't mind ending with it.

According to Bert Sorrells, his girl Bandit was his best female producer. I got a dog tightly bred down from her and it was a good dog. Even in our program (which is crossed) we are doing a fairly tight breeding on that dog and with reason.

i think most would know that R.Sorrells dogs and B. sorrells dogs are bred completely different. B. sorrells' dogs have proven beyond a doubt to be some of the best over the years, and for those using his blood would know. Personally thow, what was and now what is, differ's somewhat.
for those keeping the blood true for what it once was will appreciate what a good dog really is. Pure/crossed etc. always produce's something worth while. This is what comes of true family breeding for countless generations.
Most people aint going to here the truth about alot of blood out there, i think we all understand that. "good things are always kept quite"
The Sorrells dogs have a long list of achievements, not only in the box, but as weight pullers, obedience, companions etc.etc. and excell in every aspect. They are what i truely believe to be one of the best bred strains of APBT's there is. I say this because i have over 25 years of experiance with the APBT and have found personally the Sorrells dogs to be above the other strains i have experianced.
For alot of people this may differ depending on how or who bred them, meaning they may be from Sorrells lines but someone else has stired the pot with thier hands , but for the most, comming from a pure family and kept how they have been in the past would surely reap the benifits.

    B. Sorrells dogs are well rounded dogs in and out of the show ring! the family speaks for itself. Also R. Sorrells dogs are another great family of dogs....wish when I first got into these dogs I knew the history of both...would have been a great foundation and I would have crossed them into each other!
