the thought crossed my mind then did a double take does anyone know what kind of blood petey from the little rascals has if he has game blood or jus show now if i had to guess if he was a game dog id say colby jus wonderin tho

Game blood was in Petey. There was none declared strictly for "show" at that time. Even the ones registered as American Staffordshire Terriers were game-bred and proven in the box such as the X-Pert and Tacoma lines. I saw his pedigree on some historical site and to my recollection, there was no Colby in him though.

Petey, or Lucenay's Peter (his United Kennel Club registered name) was whelped September 6th, 1929. He was bred by A.A. Keller, and owned/trained by Harry Lucenay.

I guess that's where Petey got his smarts from. By Earl's accounts, BlackJack was an extremely intelligent animal. He even ran loose and never bothered the chained dogs. If one got loose and bothered BlackJack, It was one less dog to feed. Earl Tudor always kept him pre-kept for anyone at any weight. An exceptional animal. And Petey was also in my opinion. A perfect example of an apbt of sound body and mind.

true, i was suprised myself to find this,it does leave you to wonder about the dams side though ,,alot of unknowns,but from what ive tried to find on dogs that far back is alot of uknowns

Wonder how they let a game bred dog run loose with all them kids without eating one or two?LOL Petey is one of my favorite TV dogs.

nah the owner had said at one time that the original petey wasnt posined just died of old age.he said there were alot of rumors about "petey" that werent true but im guessing he is in his grave too so we'll never know
