Re: Juan Gotty
*sigh*
What is the source of your "research"?.
None of us will really know all we can do is speculate.

Re: Juan Gotty
Hello Wolverine.
Juan Gotti is FAR from being the "father of the blues." Blue dogs were in our breed LONG before Gotti was even thought of.
As for him having AmStaff in him, yes, he does & a lot of it at that.
Finally as to your question of his purity, no one knows for sure, but many fanciers believe he is a cross of APBT, AST & English Bulldog.
If you want to know more about Gotti, just use the search engine on this site. He has been the subject of discussion many times & you can find some good info there.
Hope this helpsLast edited by ABK; 05-19-2008 at 09:15 PM.

Re: Juan Gotty
One huge down fall on the Gotti lines is health issues . ask around. They werent bred with health in mind.

Re: Juan Gotty
Just to clear the air,the paper hanging came to the line via gotties sire"do goods camacho"The pedigree has his sire listed as "chain gangs barney"a dog nobody's ever seen, and the picture of raider two's sire is actually his son "cream"aka "chain gangs butt head"if it even shows up,many places you go and check the pedigree it will be blank were raider 2's sire should be,both dogs seem to be part ddb..I got this info through private email and it checks out.....
Gotti part mastiff, his offspring obviously old bulldog blood crossed into the mastiff, oeb, amstaff woodpile.....
http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com...p?dog_id=32696
raider two's sire

and the son of camacho, listed as raider 2's sire sometimes'also listed as
"chain gangs baney",actual name is "cream"

and off course the abomination known as back yard boogie, son of gotti, first generation bulldog hybrid no doubt..

just alittle info for those who care to know...

Re: Juan Gotty
wow so I just looked a gotti's ped for the first time, there is alot of staff in there, just in the ped, but you know what the most frightening thing is... six generations back there were actually quite a few good game dogs there. Ross's Red Devil shows up like 5 or six times, and there is some tudor stuff within the first 5 gens. Just to name a few. Just goes to show what can happen if you breed for the wrong reasons. What a freaking travesty that dog is. I mean think about it, given the good dogs in the ped back then, at some point someone had to be sitting there with a well bred game dog...( a breed which is in my opinion a masterpeice of more than a hundred years of selective breeding) and said to himself you know what I think I'm gonna breed him to the walrus cur down the street and then pick the culls with bowed legs big heads and breathing problems and breed them together...then I might get what I'm looking for. Then I'll sell these creatures who will be incapable of doing any type of job for alot of money. Seriously, I don't want to start another bash bullies thread, but seriously if he wanted a english bulldog why start with well bred pit bulls. Honestly it's pretty disrespectful to the breed and all those who spent years making it.

Re: Juan Gotty
I don't mind Bully dogs and I have been doing some research on them over the years but they ARE NOT an APBT and people need to stop saying they are. In reality they are a mutt, some lines have bulldog and mastiff added to them for the additional size but I don't think that all of the lines do. Most of the people breeding them these days are breeding them way to tight to get the size that the want and they don't realize(or care) what they are doing is hurting more than helping them. Most people think that all bullies are just fat and lazy but that is not the case with all of them, but there is a large portion that are fat and lazy, no doubt about it. I have seen a decent amount that are pretty athletic but most of them aren't Gotty dogs. That is just my 2 cents on this topic
Here are a few nice ones...
