    each line is different, you can get a general idea if you know the line pretty well. but once are again that too can have a million different variable that effect growth.

    Knowing the line really only helps if the pups are line bred and you really know what is each behind them & of course other environmental factors also play a role

    In general most seem to grow in height until they are between 8 months to a year and then fill out and mature until they are around 2-3 years old.

    Usually at least two years. Sometimes a little longer. And there are a few that just stop sooner. No magic number but two is about the low end of the stopping point.

    99.99% of the ones I have had grow tall the first year, then wide the second., that is aproximate time, just as heat cycles vari, but a very close time line. And I have had several different bloodlines, and did not notice differences in this.

    I noticed the same thing 1 yr. = tall & 2 yr.= wide.

    I have always heard that physical maturity is reached at age 2, mental maturity at age 3. Of course, growth rates vary by size w/ bigger dogs maturing more slowly. So a gamebred dog might be physically mature at 2, but a R.E. dog might not be physically mature until 3.
