moving...
in about 6 months my lease is up and i am looking to move out of the state i currently reside in...my first choice is to move to colorado (someplace around ft. collins with a little bit of land and neighbors that arent too close)and second is northwest...i was wondering if any of you had any thoughts on how the breed is out there, not a bsl question, just - are there breeders?, what bloodlines do they mostly run?, etc. one factor in where i go is that there are good dogs in the area and good dog-people...any help is greatly appreciated

Re: moving...
Some apartments in Fort Collins have a pitbull ban, as would be expected, though the city itself does not ban pits.
Here is a rescue there: http://www.petfinder.org/shelters/CO200.html
as far as breeders, enter your info in this site: http://www.doggies.com/American_Pit_...errier/Arizona
and see what yah come up with.
I hear "Colorado" and I instantly think of Denver. (cringe) we all know what happened to all the pits there....
also, look here:
http://apbt.meetup.com/cities/
good luck in your search.

Re: moving...
Yup, I would steer clear of Colorado, just because the Denver fiasco. If theres enough idiots in Denver, my guess is the surrounding areas arent much better....

Re: moving...
IDAHO IS SAFE FOR NOW...HOWEVER THERE ARE TWO SINGLE CITIES WITH ACTIVE BSL. ONE IS 100 MILES AND THE OTHER IS 500 MILES AWAY FROM ME.

Don't ban pit bulls; regulate dog owners
