I have used it and is way to help produce more red blood cells especially in dogs or pups with low iron.

I use some stuff that's even better than red cell called vi-sorbin and lixotinic. They are both great products and work twice as fast as red cell.

why use it on a pup ? its a working dog supplement. it works fine but stop 1 week out from any sporting contest or your dog will run hot.

As stated by someone else be careful not too give too much, strong stuff that. for a puppy give very little, I have used it on a puppy, give too much and it will upset the stomach or the pup wont want to eat the food. Its good to help bring up a weak pup

Shouldn't need an iron source for a healthy pup and if I did i'd give beef liver rather than a supplement. As stated earlier these products are for working dogs

If a pup without a serious health condition is deficient on iron ("anemic"), you seriously need to rethink your feed. Again, I don't advise supplements for puppies or even young dogs. I prefer to allow them to grow naturally on a high quality dry kibble or raw-food diet. Supplements should be reserved for purpose-specific conditioning or recovering from health issues or trauma. If a pup's bloodwork come back as iron-deficient while on a quality kibble, that pup will likely either have intestinal parasites, cancer, pancreatic issues, or maybe even a UTI. If parasites, you probably need to evaluate your dog's living conditions & quarters then worm him immediately. If cancer, as in Lymphoma, you probably need to cull the dog and analyze his pedigree for genetic predisposition to cancers. If a pancreatic issue, then the dog is unable to properly digest the food you're feeding him, as the pancreas produces enzymes that break down food for nutritional value during the digestive process. Again, this would typically be a cull & analyze scenario. If there is nothing WRONG with your pup (ie: excessively weak, lazy, or skinny) you don't need to be wasting money on iron supplements. That's my two cents....

Where's the vitamins and minerals? Hell, all I see are Chlorides and Sulfates! Feed a quality food and let him grow. Keep it simple.

Raw is the best thing you can feed a dog if you feed it properly there is no need for red cell as it's an iron supplement beef liver has plenty of iron so that's simple enough for anyone to understand. Also giving a dog iron supplements when it doesn't need it will do more harm than good.

The stuff stinks, it's blood red and tastes awful. Just my two cents. Dogs hated it.

I never felt the need to supplement my pups food, in the past i gave a good kibble and now the last 2 litters were on raw.
last year for a few months i had them on a red mills but swithed back to raw because i stil like that better for my dogs.
