Eukanuba dog food

I was at the store and I saw this food and I have heard talk about it, that its really good dog food..well have any of u tried it or used it for puppy's??Any opions are great..thanks everyone

 

run a search and fyi, eukanuba is close to bottom of the barrel for dog nutrition, imo.

 

for sure go through the dog food threads,,lots of great info there,,I don't like eukanuba.

One mans junk is anothers treasure.

 

It's the better of the bunch when it comes to the low grade stuff, but many owners swear by it. IMO, it is overpriced and provides little nutrition for a working dog.

 

im with every one else on this one there are a lot of better foods out there if u read the indgrdents there are alot of fillers and other junk in it there also. plus they are supports of BSL, where are u going to buy your dog food form ??

 

I use it and would like too know what proof is out there that they support BSL. I do not want to buy their product if that is the case! But before I switch brands I would really like to know more. My dogs seem to like it, but they could get used to something else. I stopped feeding them Diamond because of the recalls. What about IAMS?

 

I think IAMS is same company as Eukanuba just the lower grade. Also Eukanuba is decent but way over priced.

 

Eukanuba is good enough as far as premium food. I used to feed it. But since I made the jump to the top-level foods (feed store foods) and raw, I wont go back.

 

I work with this crap everyday at the place i work at. At the boarding place i work at they feed eukanuba low residue so the dogs stool wont be nasty. But most dogs wont eat the shit because its nasty. I took my girl sophi yesterday to board while i was at work and tryed to feed her the shit and she tipped the bowl over so i had to put some can food in there with it for her to kinda eat it. Now the prescription diets are a different story. They have some awesome stuff that can do anything for your dog. There is some food for obese dogs that is like liposuction and i have seen dogs on it and it has made a tremendous difference. Its just all on what you get. But there are alot better kibbles for this breed you can get.

 

Thanks guys..What would you guy's say the best food at a lower price would be?? At a resonable price, but good food for this breed??

i used to feed my pb eu. but he had some problems with hs skin and i change it.

 

Well I Was Using Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy But I Didn't Feel Like It Was Filling My Dogs Out So I Switch Back To Bil Jac's It Worked For Me In The Past It Cost More But It Works For Me Does Anyone Else Knows Of Anything Better Around The Same Price?

 

why would you want to give your dog by products, corn, and fillers when you can go get www.canidae.com which has lamb, beef,turkey AND chicken and has no fillers or by products? by products are the claws,beaks, the crappy parts of the chicken..

 

Canidae gets my vote as well. I made a temporary switch to that from Nature's Variety, and its doing well enough that we may make the switch permanent. Plus its just a bit cheaper.
