    those spikes do hurt

  4. it is a fair price if you think paying about 60 bucks is the right price to pay to project the image of the ''killer pit bull'' to the public word of advice purchase a plain collar or harness and project the right image

Never bought from them. To be honest, they look like cheap, junk harnesses with spikes added to make them attractive to people wanting a tough dog look. On the other hand, Stillwaters harnesses look much better, and when I get my collars in and look them over, I plan on ordering one of his harnesses too. To me less money for a superior product, that doesnt display a negative image....seems like a no-brainer!

I happen to like the spiked look and was looking at that same harness but i think i will go with still water thanks to seeing marty's dog rocking it and looking good. The spiked look may give the wrong impression though but it is just a matter of choice. Most dont like it some do.

I'm at the point where I really don't care what other people think of me and my dog. I know how my dog really is (sweet and loving) and to me, at this point, that's all that matters. LOL I'm just tired of all of the B.S. from everyone. I like the spiked look. She has a couple collars now, a black leather spike, a prong, a couple ones in various colors (but they don't really fit her anymore), I might not go with these people, but I def want a spiked harness. But yea I do see what some of you are saying, about how it'll look...but like I said I'm tired of doing sh*t to please others.

i bought from www.fordogtrainers.com under the harness section. but i wouldn't get the agitation one. it's way too bulky for the dog. the exclusive luxury handcrafted leather one seems more low key. none of their harnesses have spikes either. i would buy stillwater's collars though. he has the best selection for the best price. take care!!!!

You posted this: "Have you ever seen the look in your pit bull's eyes when someone feels hate or fear for them...people say and do ignorant and mean things towards them because of their breed?...I see the pain. I see the hurt. I can tell. She doesn't understand why some people are afraid of her." Well, part of the reason lies with owners 'who don't care' what other people think, use logging chains with locks as collars, spikes and other nonsense items to toughen their dog up and/or themselves. Seriously, I was cracking up when you wrote the post I just quoted above, I knew you were fronting, and that you would end up reverting back to being another person that pretends to care about this breed, but can't see an inch past their own nose. You want spikes? You want your dog to bite someone? AND you don't care what people think? News for you, we're in this together, our actions should reflect a positive image regarding this breed at ALL times, seeing as we're so close to losing them. Listen to the advice everyone else is giving you, they aren't trying to lead you astray.

The problem is, everyone else has to deal with the fallout from your "choices". And if you think you are tired, I'm tired of running the risk of losing my dog because other people don't want to think about their actions. Tell you what, if you ask all my neighbors, THEY will be dead set AGAINST the idea of BSL. Because I work to put foward a good image and have a well behaved dog. Please think about how what you are doing is going to rebound on others. We don't live in a vacum.

Instead of spikes, why not get pyramid or domed rivets? It looks good and you won't get scratched to hell if your dog rubs against you.

I have a really nice collar on my Petey that has pyramid rivets on it. I'll post a picture later.

Ritch McLean makes the best harness I've ever seen. They are extremely strong and good looking. He custom makes it for your dog and everything is hand-stiched. A bit more on the expensive side but well worth it! He can make just about any harness you can dream up and he dosen't do spikes. (Don't get anything "bad ass" for a Pit. Please.) He makes his tack for Pits and ownes a few himself. http://www3.telus.net/bblco/ :D
