It looks like a rip off to me. Does anyone use them and are they as good as they claim? If anyone does use any other vitamins what do they use??

I see those thingson alot of those bluff kennels. Claiming thats the cause of their dogs being so massive or even claim it makes the dogs super healthy...pfff Thing is, most know their dogs are mutts. With sites like these, they stand no chance coming on here and spreading that bull about those dogs being pure. Off that, with a proper diet and exerise, there is no need for those things. The only time when a dog needs any type of vitamins is when its ill in some type of way or form.

With a good diet and exerise, dogs look better than those dogs pumped up on "vitamins"

My dogs run for hours about 5 times a week, and when I say hours I mean 4 or 5 hours each day about five times a week! I feed them Royal Canin supplemented with real ground beef, canned Mackeral (no salt in water), collard greens, green beans, dry cream of wheat and chicken about 3 to 5 times a week. Sometimes I mix in canned food (Nutro Max) and I tell you what: I have had no health problems to date. I went to the feed store today looking for fish meal because I want to start to incorporate that into their feed. Was just wondering about those Nu Vet vitamins and what the Hell was in them to make them so expensive???

It been said those pills are used top cover things up like diseases.I had a kennel who required you give the dogs that pill tell me that they had a puppy returned cause the new owners did not give it the pill and it got sick.

  15. I have to agree with the other people that said they are waste of money! Don't know how accurate this is..but I have heard it more than once.....I have read in some article that when you start your dog on these at a young age, then take them off....it weakens their immune system. I wish I could remember where I read that because we had a female (a while back) that we were giving them to and when decided that there was no improvement with them we stopped using them...result? Our female ended up breaking out in hives really bad....trust me is was no allergy either! I say......Don't waster your time or money...keep your dog healthy...leave them alone!

Went to the web site to get some info. on these vitamins.
If you feed your dog kibble, dont give them any more vitamins! To much of the fat-soluble vitamins like vitamin A and D, can be poissonus for the dog. Nu Vet vitamins also contain oyster shell, witch is the same as calcium, and if you feeding raw meat and bones, an supplement of calcium can disturb the normal growth of the bones in pups, and to much of it as an adult will actualy make the calcium "leek" from the bones.
As for antioxidants, yes its good , but if your dog food contains vitamin E, you have it. There are many sources of antioxidants, almost all natural food, that have a lot of color is full of antioxidants. So try giving your dog some kelp, powdered spinach, carrots etc. This is my personal opinion and research.
I feed my dogs raw meat, bones and veg. I supplement with vitamin C, kelp, fish oils, raw apple cider vinegar and herbs. And to me what Nu Vet is claming, is pure bull$...

If your feeding proper Kibble and it isnt crappy dog food your dog wont need anything added as a "supplement"....give things as a treat like a big ass cow bone from Wal Mart or if you live in a place where there is meat lockers you might be able to get some scrap bone for free...that will supply a large burst of all essential elements a dog needs because the marrow is like packed with all kinds of lucious protein and vitamins ...by doing that or something similar once or twice a month and feeding a premium kibble yoou dont need to add any supplements....unless your in a keep but thats a different story.....

What's the controversy? Don't put that out there like that and not back it up. If you have heard something it would be nice to share that with us. I use NuVet as a supplement. That's all it is. It contains vitamins, amino acids, calcium and selenium to name a few. Supplements don't make a dog big. Genetics will determine size. It's no different than purchasing Vet Tabs from the vet. I think since some pitbull lovers use it and they don't have the same type of pit that you may have then there has to be something wrong with it. There has to be a controversy. Note I said pitbull lover. Beleive it or not there are a lot of good guys out here who like different bloodlines and don't have the traditional looking pit. They are still good guys and share some of the same views as you regarding breeding and cruelty. Any breeder saying that a pup is sick because he was not taking NuVet anymore is an idiot and there should have been more fact finding before purchasing the pup from an idiot. I don't understand how a supplement can hide a disease.

the very first pup i owned at 7 weeks and sold it at 12 weeks beacuse i moved. i gave it nuvet from it was 8 weeks and it was never given any shots only dewormed at 4 weeks. i took it outside every day and it never even coughed once. they are worth the money. i highly recommened them.

as for the the fool talking about the "controversy". dont believe everything you hear.

That was not a good idea. The pup should have been wormed more, and you should have started shots
