Flea,tick,and fly control for dogs.

Discussion in 'Health & Nutrition' started by Laylowpitman13, Apr 12, 2024.

  1. I use python ear tags for cattle on all my dogs collars. It works miracles keeping fleas and ticks and flies off my dogs, along with keeping a clean yard this will do wonders on your hounds.

  2. I use Fipronil drops, or a tablet that contains a combination of Levamisole, Praziquantel and Ivermectin, and Neostomosan against flies

if babesia does appear, Ivermectin and Berenyl are here

I use Home defense twice a year on the perimeter of the yard and around the dog houses. 10% Permethrin sprayed in the houses and on the dogs weekly. Never have fleas or ticks. Biting flies though I do deal with them chewing my dogs ears to shit. They would be my biggest pests here. Was going to try the cattle tags this year and see if that helps any.

I mix a few ounces of permethrin in a 20oz spray bottle. It spray the dogs and their houses. I then make a stronger mix and spray the ground and areas in between the dogs.

    It works fairly well.
