Aside from the fact that it has to be a well-bred dog to begin with, everything depends on the man or woman behind the dog. A good dog that produces 500 puppies in a lifetime, a fair percentage of which are good dogs, is not as impressive as the dog that passes on a high percentage of good dogs with a handful of matings. Ship has dogs that I have ever seen very far down the pedigree, these were good dogs in my day. The dogs of recent times I don't know and can't say anything meaningful about these dogs because I don't know them. If money is the main motivator in producing APBT puppies then you're on a slippery slope.

 

Respectfully what I think you're saying is 500 offspring being a "rom/por" isn't as impressive as a dog who produced 30 with the same "rom/por" status...

 

They did because they use ship offspring themselves. Now where ship was bred is different than who sold him to USA. I don’t think the Ukrainian guy cared as ship was forsale as a pup for 400 dollars. Ships daddy baton can produce and his mothers side is well known for its production. Ship has uncles and great uncles that weekend producing ahead of their time.
