Info Needed On Bloodlines

I would like some info on dogs with loposay, stidham blood. Also wilder,hemphill and jimmy boots. Any would be appreciated. Thanks.

I just want to know if they are game lines and how game, or if they are just show.I know a little about some but not the others.Any comments, anyone?

 

Alot of the Loposay dogs are down from Boudreaux and Carver blood. Some down from Colby.

 

What does PR stand for in a title.

One of the first, and best, bitches we owned came off an "Oso Negro" dog from Garrett's yard bred to a bitch from K. Woods, off his Eli/Snooty/MPHR crossed dogs. The sire of this bitch was Garrett's "Tom", a littermate to Haney's Gr.Ch. "Little Roy". These brothers were off of Wood's "Oso Negro" bred to Garrett's "Betty". While at Garrett's, to arrange a breeding with "Jeep", I asked him about what kind of bitch "Betty" was; he replied that "Betty" was the best all around bitch he ever owned. I only bring this up because as a "Zebo" fan you might appreciate her pedigree:

This bitch is also found in the pedigrees of many good dogs, one which comes to mind is Kamikaze's "Bob", aka Elite's "Bobtail Bob".

 

Stidhams Dude and Longs Duke are in this background as well.

 

It all depends on who you get them from. I seen some Hemphill/Weilder dogs that were really game but all also seen alot of curs but like I said it depends who you are getting that certain line of dogs from.

 

I believe you will find that the Stidham dogs came off some of Bert Clouse's stock.

'PR' does stand for "purple ribbon," however that doesn't mean that that particular dog has actually WON a purple ribbon at a show. It also means that EVERY DOG within the dog's first 3 generations are registered with the UKC.

Actually you are incorrect. Purple ribbon means: Purple Ribbon Bred means that a dog has at least seven complete generations of ancestory on file with UKC. Of that seven generations, the last 3 (all 14 dogs) are all UKC registered dogs. There is also no "purple ribbon " to win....

 

Not Familar With Stidham But Am Very Familar With The Others And All Of Those Bloodlines Have Shown Some Pretty Nice Game Dogs.some Of Those Lines Have Had Better Gamedogs Than The Others But For The Most Part You Really Cant Go Wrong With Any Of That Blood.

 

I'm glad to hear that. I didn't know to much about the sire's side of the line. Seems like I have some pretty good pups after all. They are still great to me though, no matter 'bout papers.
