Game Amstaff?

How many American Staffordshire Terriers do we got who has proven game?

 

This one is proven and registered with the Indian kennel club. His father is a show champ and his son is as well.

I saw pics of his race, not a bad dog. But not comparable to USA dogs.

I see the Am Staff look in the dog, but when I think Am Staff I think show dog. Seeing as how AST and SBT both started as or on a base of sporting dogs it's not that far fetched that they could be out there. I've even seen white Bull Terriers that were game as hell. BT, SBT, AST all have had specimens that defied the odds,they are just fewer and farther between than APBT. Really no different than the APBT will be in Fifty years give or take a decade. Their will still be some people that know what a gamedog is but most will only be pets and a far cry from there ancestors

 

Registered amstaff probably based on Ukc lines. He's been conditioned.

 

Indian staff is a sbt kennel/breeder

 

Would that make the dog an "American Indian Staffordshire Terrier"?

 

there is a few ast breeder that try to keep them working but game, no never heard ^^

ps: this dog on the picture is not an ast, or a sbt...it's an apbt or an apbt cross.

He looks better than most staffs am or not,,, lol...

Frogs,,, do you think he would hold his own against real bullldogs???

I wouldnt say yeah but I wouldnt rule out him being game either as it been known to happen...

 

I doubt it could compete against todays elite but might beat an average hound indeed...

 

Looks like somethin got in that backend. Decent looking dog overall. Not my taste, but I've seen worse

 

elite as in deep game, hard mouth, long winded ect?? whats considered elite? shit them indian boys might roll em hard!!

 

elite as in an average american grandchampion or agdt champion...

elite as in the best bulldog dogs in the world...

sure a dog like that might beat an average city or country county champion,,,

In all the studies Ive done from reads across the world,,,
the most current place to get bulldogs usually have the least standards...

 

The other issue is the heat factor in India. Surprised the White dogs leftover from the British Raj did so well there like the Bull Terrier brought over that later came the Bull Terr.

Sounds like a lot of guys were very amateur over there from what i've read and are only just getting a grasp on the dogs.

The rules that have been posted on here disqualify a dog for making any noise iirc. Different culture, climate and standards.

Not taking anything away from the men and their dogs just pointing out that some of the practices and techniques are alien to what most people in the West expect.

I am suprised there isnt more white dogs in the southern hotter states,,,
I am sure they would have evolved if it was for the use of air conditioners/swamp coolers,,, lol...

 

White dogs don't do well in the heat from my experience
