Found a post on the ultimate Pit Bull forum about Game dogs that could sometimes be fine with certain dogs and other animals.

Here is a couple of videos, not that it proves anything from a couple of interactions just interested in the well known dogs that were accepting of certain other dogs.

EP posted a couple peds. And which story was the one about a champion that lived with two rat terriers they use to get him going at other dogs through the window and he would get trouble for it. i think theres way more than you think but they havent been brought up on yards. One of smart kennels dog was a couch patatoe until three then became champion. it still couch patatoe

He was a very good looking dog. Just listen to that mill he is on hum. You know, for a dog thats labeled a man biter he dont seem like the ones I seen at all. Looks like a normal tempered bulldog to me.

There has certainly been a few Great Bulldogs that will play with other hounds. They are very intelligence with some Pit - smarts . Some can since if it's a challenge. However, I have also seen and owned a few that would kill anything that they could get too. Including gyps; puppies, snakes , raccoons, what have you. So always be mindful that these are animal's. There is no guarantee that a bulldog want explode on another animal, reptile. Ect.

The gambler was egging him on trying to get him fired up. Virgil tried to bite him because the gambler was, to Virgil, a threat. The dog was said to be very smart from what I hear.

I've heard that Virgil was usually fine with people, he was just territorial and didn't like people near his chain spot.

There's a much longer video on you tube and Virgil is on his chainspot getting some love throughout. Looks like a very loving dog in the video.

Yeah, pretty sure gambler just pissed him off.

As for dog friendly game dogs
Dibo and jimmy boots didn't start fights, but they sure as hell finished them. Nigerino was allowed near his daughter. And I hear Dbl GR ch tornado could control herself.

Chaves (assuming that is him in the vid.) was smart enough to let Llantas focus and burn off his initial pent up burst of energy on that plastic thing in the kennel before letting him play with the pup. If he did not do that first Llantas could of directed and focused that burst of energy on to the pup.

If you watch Virgil interacting with that young dog, Virgil is standing tall which is a dominant stance, while the young dog is in a low SUBMISSIVE stance. If that young dog had not submitted to Virgil and instead stood in a tall stance then a fight would of pursued if no one backed down.

The problem is most newbies/first time pitbull owners dont see what a experienced person can see when watching these vids and think that these dogs can play with any dog regardless of the circumstances which is not true.

Corvette. My alligator bitch was the same way. She would kill birds and squirrels. She was 100% black with 10 black nails. She would lay down
and close her eyes. Anything that came into range she would kill. I brought a Ban-dog puppy by her once, and she tried to bite it.
Male/female/puppy she didn't care. Her father was the same way.Not a Man -biter per say, just a one person dog.

Kenaii this is exactly how my Scatter bred Patrick male is. His Grandfather was a bit "Weird" He always looked at you side ways.
even when you walked him he would keep one eye on you. Do you know what I mean? That Stank eye look. I never let my kids mess with him.
Only pit I didn't trust around kids. Great muscle tone, great head, very quiet. All traits I like in a PET. I bred his son and now have his grandson as
a Pet. He is great with my family and even with my kids school age friends when they visit. But if I take him in the truck to get gas,
and a stranger comes near the truck he goes Ape Shit. Good that's what I like. stay away from my truck. there ain't nothing in it you need!
I had a tree (white oak) that I needed down. Too big for me to handle. I called a tree service. Dude walks up into my property a bit un-expected,
and my Elmo bitch is in her kennel. wagging away. ass swinging . tongue hanging out. He pets her thru the chain-links. My male who is close by
is barking. I yell. "leave him be, don't mess with that dog!" The idiot tries to pet the dog, and the dog tries to bite his hand--for real.
well. who's to blame here? Am I an irresponsible breeder or is the tree dude a Moron?

Another thing I've noticed, why is it people think this is the sign of a dog being smart? I personally think it's like anything else and flows on a dog by dog basis. Imo these dogs can get along together as long as one is willing to submit or back down. That is why I tend to not let my dogs "play" together after about a year, I don't want any dog on my yard being in the habit of submitting to another.

sometimes both sides are submissive and that helps,,, but a good dog in general should be submissive to their owner and if you have two that understand you run shit,,, the two seem to get along fine with supervision of course...
The older gr ch Hank is one of the few that I know of that didnt need supervision,,, but a better vision might have helped when he wandered in his grandson Jumbo Jims spot and died,,,
I liked the Captians style of letting the old man Hank run and breed freely to his chained brood bitches,,,
Hank had a perfect bulldog life in my eyes...

I don't supervise my 2 girls that are inside. I can leave them running free in the house when I leave and I also crate them together. They have been together for 7 years without incident. Now, Im not suggesting people try that shit themselves but I know my dogs and those that are going to attempt keeping 2 together should know yours before trying it. I don't recommend it but it is possible. I remember Wardogs Ch Kee was fine with other dogs as long as you wern't taking her to a basement. IMO, A smart one knows when it's time to work and when it's time to just be a dog.
